This Year’s Most Sought After NBA Free Agents

Where do you think they’ll end up?

The 2016-2017 NBA Finals are behind us and while our hats go off to the Golden State Warriors for bagging their second championship in three seasons, we’re looking forward to the year ahead for one particular reason. That is, there are several big names who are now free agents and we just have to ask: Where will these star athletes play next season?

Kevin Durant

Current team: Golden State Warriors/ 25.1ppg, 8.3rpg, 4.8apg

As one of the most talented offensive players in the league, you just know that a handful of teams will be knocking on KD’s door. However, it looks as if the Finals MVP will be willing to take a salary cut just to stay with Golden State.

Stephen Curry

Current team: Golden State Warriors/ 25.3ppg, 6.6apg

It’s hard to see Curry playing for anyone besides the Warriors at this point, but he will be looking to sign a new contract this July. We’re yet to see whether or not this means a change in colors.

Blake Griffin

Current team: LA Clippers/ 21.6ppg, 8.1rpg, 4.9apg

It doesn’t look like the Clippers will win a championship anytime soon, so it’s likely that Blake will be looking for a more powerful team this year.

Chris Paul

Current team: LA Clippers/ 18.1ppg, 9.2apg, 5.0rpg

He may be a little older than his fellow NBA players, but Chris is still someone that can hold his own on the court. Without a doubt, he’ll have a few great offers coming his way.

Pau Gasol

Current team: San Antonio Spurs/ 12.4ppg, 7.8rpg

For a big guy, Gasol is great at mid-range shots and is a talented passer. His success with San Antonio cannot be denied, but neither can his popularity in the league.

Dwyane Wade

Current team: Chicago Bulls/ 18.3ppg, 4.5rpg, 3.8apg

Wade has arguably not been the greatest fit with the Bulls. And with his age catching up to him, we wouldn’t be surprised if he wore a different jersey in the upcoming NBA season.

Dirk Nowitzki

Current team: Dallas Mavericks/ 14.2ppg, 6.5rpg

Time is ticking for Nowitzki, as he is soon to celebrate his 20th anniversary with Dallas. It isn’t likely that he will transfer, but there are rumors that next season will be his last. If so, we’re going to miss his iconic one-foot fade away jump.

Derrick Rose

Current team: New York Knicks/ 18.0ppg, 4.4apg, 3.8rpg

Rose seems to have a knack for getting injured before some very big games, but his numbers and participation in a team does not go unnoticed.

Manu Ginobili

Current team: San Antonio Spurs/ 7.5ppg, 2.8rpg

He may be one of the eldest players currently in the league, but we’re willing to bet Ginobili still has some fuel in his tank. Hopefully he chooses to take on another season and we can catch more of his creative passing.

Vince Carter

Current team: Memphis Grizzlies/ 8.0ppg, 3.1rpg

He’s 40 years young and can shoot a three-pointer like someone twice his age. However, word has been going around that he might be looking to return to the Toronto Raptors next season.
