A Recap of the 2017 NBA Awards

Just in case you missed it

 

 

And just like that the NBA 2016-2017 is over. But the celebrations are far from finished. Enter the long-awaited 2017 NBA Awards, where the best of the best and the most improved players and coaches of the year are recognized. Though this time, the guys at the NBA did it differently; the season-ending awards was aired live on TNT and featured new categories, with winners exclusively determined by fan voting.

 

Kia NBA Most Valuable Player

Nominees: Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City Thunder), James Harden (Houston Rockets), Kawhi Leonard (San Antonio Spurs)

Winner: Russell Westbrook

 

 

Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year

Nominees: Draymond Green (Golden State Warriors), Rody Gobert (Utah Jazz), Kawhi Leonard (San Antonio Spurs)

Kia Most Improved Player
