Get Glowing By Adding These Items To Your Diet

Get close-up ready skin by eating

There are so many products available out there, each that cater to different wants and needs. Moisturizer for dry skin, cream to eliminate eye baggage, lotion to get softer skin, the list is virtually endless. But wouldn’t it be nice if we could actually enjoy the process?

To get glowing skin, you need to do more than just clean, scrub and dab on some highlighter; you have to start from the inside. There are several diverse ingredients out there that can help us achieve that dewy, young and innocent glow. And hey, it’ll be delicious for us so it’s really a win-win.

Lemon

When taken over time, lemons can help brighten skin. They’re rich in vitamin C and citric acid, which makes them a great antioxidant. After a few weeks of taking it, you’ll notice that you have less age spots and dark spots. And if you’re one of the lucky few that don’t have them now, this is a great way to make sure they stay at bay.

Sweet Potato

To turn back the clock, run to sweet potatoes. It might seem odd, but the root vegetable actually helps speed up cellular turnover. In addition, the starch makes red and yellow tones become more obvious, thereby making your skin appear brighter than normal.

Berries

Berries work in almost the same way, as eating them fresh helps infuse color into the skin. So if you’re feeling a little drab and dry, chew on some berries and maybe you won’t need that extra layer of blush anymore.

Almonds

As one of the most compact sources of vitamin E, almonds are a great source of nourishment for skin. It can also help protect us from the sun’s UV rays. However, as they make a great snack on their own, taking them should be done in moderation. Like most nuts, and other good things, the almond is very calorie dense.

Fruits

It’s been proven that skin aging is often times linked to sun damage. Every time we go out in the sun, we’re literally putting ourselves at risk. And while sunscreen is a great way to protect ourselves, we can do more to help. Fruits that are loaded with vitamins and antioxidants, like mangoes, oranges and watermelon, help restore skin cells.
