The Key Matchups Of The 2017 East NBA Playoffs

It’s going to be an exciting ride for the next few weeks

The 2017 NBA Playoffs are already underway and it promises to be an exciting one. But before the finals begin to take shape, the teams of the Eastern Conference must face up against each other first.

Boston Celtics vs. Chicago Bulls

The Boston Celtics arguably have one of the best team movements in the league, but this isn’t what’s going to take them far. It’s going to be Isaiah Thomas’ offensive plays, and it’s going to be having both Al Horford and Amir Johnson on defense and offense. This is only going to be bettered with the help of Avery Bradley.

But the Chicago Bulls also have their own set of key players, which includes Robin Lopez and Cristiano Felicio on defense and Jimmy Butler on offense. It also doesn’t hurt that they have veteran Dwayne Wade on their side. The Bulls will also be depending a great deal on Rajon Rondo to call out the plays and expertly pass the ball between his teammates.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Indiana Pacers

Strongly playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers is LeBron James, who has a talent for driving to the basket and Kyrie Irving, who has one of the best dribbling hands in the league. There is also Kyle Korver, JR Smith and Richard Jefferson who kill it from beyond the arc. And when it comes to rebounds, there’s Tristan Thompson to grab the ball and give the Cavaliers possession.

For the Indiana Pacers, there is Paul George, CJ Miles and Aaron Brooks to help on the offensive side of things. But in terms of shooting, the team has Monta Ellis and Jeff Teague for shooting. And to help round up the team is Myles Turner on defense.

Toronto Raptors vs. Milwaukee Bucks

The Toronto Raptors have Demar Derozan and Kyle Lowry to lock things down on offense. Meanwhile, there is Jonas Valaciunas and Serge Ibaka on defense, both of who can be helped by the likes of Demarre Carroll and PJ Tucker.

In a sport where height is might, the fact that the Milwaukee Bucks have one of the tallest height averages in the league will definitely come into play. Moreover, there is Giannis Antetokounmpo’s offensive and defensive edge, which is only optimized by John Henson’s own defensive strategies.

Washington Wizards vs. Atlanta Hawks

It isn’t enough to be good at one side of the game, which is why it’s vital that the Wizards are strong on the offensive and defensive fronts. There’s John Wall and Bradley Beal carrying their weight on the offensive side of things, while Marcin Gortat shines in defense.

But in order to get to the finals, a team needs to have a few tricks up their sleeves. So while the Atlanta Hawks have Paul Millsap and Dennis Schroder on offense and Dwight Howard on defense, the team also has Ryan Kelly, Mike Muscala and Tim Hardaway Jr. for beyond-the-arc shots.
