UFL’s Hottest Hunks to Follow on IG
Even if you know nothing about the United Football League, these good-looking players will make a football fan out of you
Football is arguably the most popular sporting event in most parts of the world, but here in the Philippines, it plays second fiddle to basketball and even boxing. Such a shame since the Azkals, our national football team, has been performing well while our premier football league—the United Football League (UFL)—has attracted top notch international talent.
Here’s the bigger shame: missing out on all the handsome players showing off their mad football skills and fine form on the pitch. If you’re not a football fan yet, these hot bod athletes are about to change your mind. Follow them on Instagram, stat!
1 Misagh Bahadoran, @misagh_9

Never mind that he’s two-time FHM Sexiest Woman Sam Pinto’s main squeeze. There’s no harm in looking at his IG posts, especially when his blue-gray eyes are on full display. A winger for the Azkals, this Filipino-Iranian footballer plays forward for Global FC and assisted the club in securing the UFL Cup last April.
2 Adrian Gallardo, @A_Gallardo9

Ceres-La Salle’s 28-year-old Spanish striker Adrian is one of the league’s top scorers. In fact, in a recent match against Pasargad FC, Gallardo booted eight of the team’s 16 goals! Watch him in action at the UFL games or scroll through his holiday photos on Instagram. You’re welcome.
3 Carlie De Murga, @CarliedeMurga

Carli mans the midfield for Ceres, but he’s no slouch if given the opportunity to score. The Spanish-Filipino’s football career was derailed by an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear in 2014, but he has since regained his form as one of his team’s most valuable players. He also has the best ’stache in the UFL.
4 Aly Borromeo, @alybor11

A fixture in the Philippine football scene since ‘99, American-born Aly is KC Concepcion’s purported current boyfriend. He was the long-time team captain of the Azkals and currently leads Kaya FC, so suffice to say he’s got talent, grit and strong leadership skills.
5 Oj Porteria, @mrporteria

22-year-old OJ has scored 27 goals in 31 games, so it’s no wonder pundits have dubbed him the “Filipino Messi,” a nod to Argentinian football superstar Lionel Messi. He recently left Kaya FC and will pursue his dream of playing pro football abroad, so follow him on Instagram to get updates.
6 Louis Clark, @Louisclark_

Don’t be fooled by this British winger’s boy-next-door looks—the guy’s a monster on the field. Thanks to Louis, Kaya FC snatched its first UFL hardware in 2015 after scoring a penalty shootout against Ceres FC. Louis also ranked among the UFL FA League Cup’s top scorers, booting 10 goals in seven games.
7 Joaco Canas, @joaquincg3

Spanish defender Joaco Cañas played for Stallions FC before joining the Loyola Meralco Sparks in 2013 and helping the club win the UFL Cup that year. Not surprisingly, when he isn’t playing in UFL games, Joaco models for designers, brands and fashion magazines. Check out his cute cat posts!
