The Best Games To Play On Your Nintendo 3DS

The console is only as good as its game roster

It may be hard to believe, but Nintendo’s 3DS has been on the market since 2011. And while gamers were first doubtful of the console, those days are really far behind us now. It’s proven itself a notable player in the industry, but what’s a console without the right game roster?

Pokemon Sun and Moon

While there are several Pokemon games available, Sun and Moon is different because it really allows you to have a connection with your Pokemon. It isn’t just about strengthening and winning battles, it’s about building a relationship. The island setting and trial challenges are also a nice change from the stuffy towns and gyms.

Fire Emblem Awakening

Role playing games are here to stay, but Fire Emblem Awakening provides one rather cute twist: Love. As your combatants fight alongside one another, there is the possibility of them falling in love, especially if you keep them paired up. This relationship can then boost their stats and a corresponding story can unfold, including marriage and children.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf

If you have a flair for creativity and building, then Animal Crossing: New Leaf is for you. In the game, you’ll take on the role of the mayor to a cute little town and it’s your responsibility to expand and enhance the space. Through it all, you can take part in little quests that involve fishing, decorating your own home and visiting other islands.

The Legend Of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

While it started as a remake for a classic Zelda game, A Link Between Worlds has actually become a melting pot for those gamers that are looking for something old and new. The game starts with Link delivering a sword to a captain at Hyrule Castle, but his journey is changed once he encounters the mysterious Yuga.

Super Smash Bros

When you can’t make up your mind about what game you want, there’s fortunately a title that caters to several franchises in the Nintendo system. Super Smash Bros incorporates characters from Final Fantasy, Pokemon, Super Mario, Duck Hunt, Donkey Kong and so many others, and puts them head to head in crossover battles.

Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies

For a dose of some mystery, boot up Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies. The story follows defense attorney Phoenix Wright and his subordinates Apollo Justice and Athena Cykes. Together, the three embark on adventures in the name of justice. And while the story itself is gripping, the game is also something of a visual masterpiece.

BoxBoxBoy

Don’t let this simple puzzle game fool you. It’s addicting, fun and kind of nerve-wracking. It starts out easy enough, because it’s a nice game that will give you time to learn all the tricks you need. But the further you get along, the more complicated the puzzles become and you’ll soon be using everything in your little bag of tricks.
