The Best Of E3: All The Games To Look Forward To

It’s time to rejoice and it’s time to save

The annual Entertainment Electronic Expo is behind us, but we’re still on a high from all the announcements, exhibits and demos. The gaming world is only getting bigger and we could not be more thankful. There is so much to look forward to in the next few months.

Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider

Death Of The Outsider will be available as a standalone physical release for the PC, Xbox One and PS4 in September. A bundle that includes the base game and the DLC will also be available. The story will follow the journey of Billie Lurk as players get access to a new set of powers. It’s been described as the perfect way to get into the Dishonored franchise, so we know it’s going to be brilliant.

Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds

For the new Horizon Zero Dawn DLC, you will need the base game first and it will be available sometime this year. It comes as no surprise that the franchise is adding a DLC as the game has sold over 3 million copies worldwide. The story follows Aloy as he faces a freezing wilderness.

Anthem

While it’s a new game from Bioware and we’re about a year from its release, Anthem is already making headlines. It looks like a step away from the standard equation of the game producer, but it’s visually beautiful and the story sounds promising. You play the role of a Freelancer tasked with exploring unknown planets and protecting humanity with the help of custom exo-suits.

Monster Hunter: World

Making its big return to consoles next year, Monster Hunter: World includes classic features like scaling walls, leap attacks and cooking food. However, it also adds in some notable new tools like grappling hooks, flares and a machine gun-like firearm.

Spider-Man

The risk that Insomniac took in creating a Spider-Man game is that the hero is well rooted and arguably saturated. But we were thrilled to see that the game producer honored all the elements that make Peter Parker—like his choices to save people over killing the bad guy—without forgetting to inject a level of surprise. The game is scheduled for release in 2018.
