Everything You Need To Know About Drones Before You Buy One
Here’s what you need to consider before making the investment
Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat have made amateur photographers of all of us. And while filters are there to make the work easier for us, we’ve developed the need for great raw photos. Sure, smartphones can get the job done, but they’re also quite so limited. This is why drones are so great; they address a major setback.
Their main use is aerial shots.
The biggest feature of drones in general is that owners can take aerial shots of whatever location they’re in, which is also why they’re so popular for weddings. But they take pretty good action shots, too, especially when your subject is moving.
There are different kinds.
The easiest drones to use are the ones that are ready to fly. This means that you’ll just need to quickly set up the actual unit, which normally means attaching the propellers and plugging in batteries. After that, you’re pretty much good to go.
But if you’re willing to put in the time, there are also bind and fly drones. This means having a separate and more advanced controller for the drone, which allows more flexibility.
You need a license to operate one.
Back in 2014, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines released a memorandum. It requires all drones and any other unmanned aircraft vehicles to be registered and all controllers must be licensed. If you get caught flying your drone without the proper paperwork, you could face fines of anything between P300,000 to P500,000. So be safe and file the papers.
They come in different shapes and sizes, so choose wisely.
The more expensive a drone is, the more stable it usually is. The price goes up mainly because of the technology used within the unit, which includes sensors and other functionalities. And because anything that needs to be flown is usually difficult to maneuver, you have to take this into consideration. If you’re not good with the controls, you might have to consider a bigger budget.
The prices can get insane.
That being said, drones can get really expensive. But hey, if you just want a great shot of your friends and family on vacation, you do not need to spend thousands upon thousands. Check out shop.globe.com.ph for some inexpensive but effective alternatives.
