It’s definitely worth a spot on your radar if you’re contemplating a smartphone upgrade. To help you out, check out the guide ahead for everything you need to know about the Samsung Galaxy S22 series.

Introducing the Samsung Galaxy S22

It’s worth reiterating: the Samsung Galaxy S22 series is one of the year’s most hotly-anticipated smartphone releases. This is the next big flagship project by Samsung following Galaxy S21, which features significant improvements and fixes, and showcases a look borrowed from the Galaxy Note. From high quality selfies to jaw-dropping graphics, the S22 has a lot in store.

A Triple Camera Setup

With the Galaxy S22’s triple-camera upgrade, users can take photos and videos with the best quality possible. The rear sports a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. It will also have digital zoom, auto flash, face detection and touch-to-focus features.

Optimized Graphics and Visuals

The new Galaxy series includes a 6-inch display with a resolution of 1440x3200 for a more immersive mobile gaming or movie experience. In addition, it will have a new chipset using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, performing 20% faster with 30% more power savings. Its 8GB, 12GB or 16GB RAM lets you open multiple applications simultaneously, play games and stream videos lag-free.

Improved S Pen Support

Unlike the S21’s support-only feature, the S22 series has a built-in frame for the S-Pen. Latency for the S22 Ultra has also been reduced three times with only 2.8 milliseconds (ms) input delay—a major upgrade from the 9ms latency of the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra.

Redefined Designs

Apart from a squarer frame than its predecessor, you can now choose from four color variations. The S22 and S22+ come in Green, Phantom White, Pink Gold and Phantom Black. Meanwhile, the colors for the S22 Ultra are Burgundy, Green, Phantom White and Phantom Black.

Sizeable Internal Storage

Save files and download apps with little to no worries—both the S22 and S22 Plus are packed with large storage capacities ranging from 128 GB to 512GB.

Long-Lasting Battery

The S22 series houses a 5000mAh battery, letting you listen to music, scroll through your newsfeed, and play games for an extended period. In addition, it comes with a USB Type C port and supports 25W–65W of fast charging.
