The smartphone market may be dominated by the likes of Samsung and Apple, but this does not mean that the smaller players are not making their own innovations in the market. Huawei’s newest flagship the P10, proves this with its amazing new camera system.
Let’s talk about that shooter.
Leica Camera is a German brand that was founded in 1894 and has stood the test of time by producing high-quality cameras. But while the price tag of their products might turn off an amateur photographer, Huawei has brought the same technology to their line of affordable handsets.
Both the rear and the front cameras are Leica branded, with the rear device sporting a dual-camera system. One lens is 20 megapixels and the other is 12 megapixels. The portrait feature makes the subject stand out more than the background, while the wide aperture mode partners up both lenses to blur the image background. Meanwhile, the front camera has an amazing 8 megapixel lens.
Can’t forget the rest of the device.
Of course, you can’t just buy a smartphone for its camera. Fortunately, the rest of the Huawei P10 doesn’t disappoint either. It has a 5.1 inch screen with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and weighs just 145 grams. It also has 64GB of internal memory, with a port that can support a microSD of up to 256GB.
Straight from the box, the handheld runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. It also has a will-last-all-day 3200mAh battery, which is perfect for the powerful Kirin 960 CPU.
Don’t worry about the price.
The device sounds a little intimidating, largely because you normally find high-end specs on more expensive phones. But the Huawei P10 is a surprise on the price front as well. It’s relatively affordable, especially if you get it with Globe.
The unit comes free with ThePLAN 1799, and even includes a 6-month subscription to Netflix, Hooq and Spotify. The Huawei P10 is available in dazzling blue, obsidian black and prestige gold.
