Xbox Project Scorpio

There’s a new Xbox to hit stores this 2017 and rumor has it, it’s going to be better than the PS4. The guys over at Microsoft said it themselves, it’s going to be “the most powerful console ever.” With an eight-core AMD APU with 320 gig per second of memory, a GPU able to compute at 6 teraflops at full 4K resolution (in English, faster loading time of everything!!), the ability to run games at 60 frames per second and with VR capabilities, we’re more than sure Xbox’s Project Scorpio will knock our socks and knickers off.

iMAC 2017

A new iPhone or Macbook comes out every year, but what about the iMac? We’ve waited years for the new update and finally, Apple is coming out with one! The new iMac is said to have 5K displays, USB-C type ports, Intel 10-core Xeon E7and possibly a new Touch Bar. We just hope the iMac gets just as much love as the iPhone 8.

Speaking of the iPhone 8, we’ve been told that if you’re waiting to get a new phone next year, Apple’s 10thanniversary offering is worth the wait. And with an edge-to edge glass display and no home button, and rumors of the tech company using a flexy OLED display, the iPhone 8 sounds promising. See what’s on our iPhone 8 wishlist.

Nintendo Switch

Pegged for younger audiences, the Nintendo Switch is not just a home console, but a portable one, too. It comes in tablet form with two detachable controllers on each side and becomes a home console when you put it on the docking station.

Samsung Galaxy S8

Samsung is planning a major comeback this 2017. All we’ve heard though is that the Galaxy S8 will have auto focus sensors on its front-facing camera, a 4K display and much faster processors. As for foldability, we’ll find out if this phone going to be part of their flexible range in Q1 of 2017.

The Possible Death of Cable TV

With devices such as Chromecast and Roku, which allow us to watch and stream videos on much bigger screens (yas to Netflix on TV!), cable TV might just be on its way out. Now if you’re more brand specific, there’s a Samsung Android TV or an Apple TV; both transforms an ordinary TV into a smart TV and gives you access to multiple channels and content in one screen. The only difference, of course, is that each has content limited to either Android or iOS.

Mass Effect: Andromeda

The latest sci-fi epic from BioWare is heading to the Andromeda galaxy and with it comes vast new planets to explore. But while the idea of everything new got our video game-loving hearts fluttering, it’s nice to know there will be familiar faces and the type of game (RPG + third-person shooter combat) will essentially still be the same.
