Make The Most Of Your Vacation With These Apps

The holidays are here!

December means many things to many people: reunions, Noche Buena, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, gifts, sales and shopping. But when it all boils down to it, the last month of the year spells one really great lineup of holidays for everyone (which means some extra days off school and work).

It’s all about spending time with family and spreading happiness all around, yes. But why not make this year’s vacation a little more special? All you need are a few apps and websites to make it worth your while without much of the hassle. No one wants the added stress during Christmas season, after all.

Sky Scanner

One of the biggest hurdles when planning a vacation is air fare. It’s only natural that you want the best price, but sometimes peak season and weekends really just get the most out of your wallet. Well, you can breathe a little easier (logistically) with Sky Scanner

The website automatically pulls in current prices from several different airlines to provide you with the best options. All you have to do is enter a departure and arrival location and Sky Scanner will do all the heavy lifting for you. It works for both local and international flights as well.

Airbnb

Recent years have introduced us to Airbnb, available on web, the Play Store and the App Store. The great thing about the lodging choices on Airbnb is that you can choose to get an entire apartment to yourself or just a room in someone else’s living space—without the excess costs that hotels tend to tuck into their billings.

And whether you’re going on your own or with family and friends, there are several sizing options to choose from, too. Check out which one is for you is, book it and even talk to the owner to make your stay all the more comfortable.

Agoda

Then again, there is Agoda to always check out as well, whether on webiOS or Android. It does skew to hotels and resorts more, so the service is great if you’re willing to pay a little more for some extra pampering but still want a good deal.

Agoda not only brings up deals that the hotel or resort is offering during your stay at a certain city; it also has its own deals once in a while just by booking through the service. If you’re really lucky, you’ll hit both deals with one stone.

Booking.com

While it works a lot like Agoda, Booking.com has become the preferred option of many. Right from its homepage, you can already see the average lodging spend for various popular destinations—so you can know right from the get-go whether or not you’re interested.

Klook

When lodging and airfare are settled, the next thing to do is plan an itinerary and this is where Klook comes in. Available on webiOS and Android, Klook is great at suggesting things like attractions, shows to see, sights to visit, activities to join, food to eat, transportation to eat and even WiFi options. All you have to do is enter the city you’re visiting and you’ll have a slew of options presented to you.

The best part? You can book via the website or its apps to get great deals!

Visit A City

Also available on webiOS and Android, Visit A City has the capability to plan your entire stay within virtually any city in the world. All you have to do is enter the number of days you’ll be on vacation and it will suggest a full itinerary of what to do. But while this is all well and good, the great thing about it is that it gives you a schedule, too. You’ll be able to map out your days in their entirety.

Of course, you have the option to skip out on some of the sights, because maybe you’ve seen them before or you just don’t have the appetite to see it. Either way, Visit A City will cater to your vacation dreams.

December holidays call for a much-deserved vacation. And a vacation should be hassle-free! Rest well and make the most out of your time off this year.
