Ready for the Best of American-Italian Comfort Food? Olive Garden PH Is Here!

The Bistro Group introduces the first-ever branch of Olive Garden in the Philippines

Finally, the beloved American-Italian restaurant chain Olive Garden has landed in the Philippines. Located in SM Mall of Asia in Pasay, the famous home for comfort food serves the best of the best American-Italian dishes that perfectly suit enormous appetites—from a mouth-watering array of pasta to their world-famous breadsticks.

Need a crash course on all things Olive Garden? Here’s everything you need to know about the culinary icon.

Get To Know Olive Garden

Olive Garden set the standard for American-Italian cuisine. The chain, headquartered in Florida, boasts over 900 branches all over the world today. It first opened in 1982 and immediately became the fastest-growing restaurant in the United States. Continuing its global growth, two branches are set to open in prime locations in the Philippines. First is the recently introduced restaurant in SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City. A branch in Glorietta 3 in Makati City is set to open soon.

Olive Garden was brought in by the Bistro Group, the same folks responsible for bringing other worldwide favorites to the Philippines such as Denny’s, TGIFridays, Buffalo Wild Wings, the recently launched Randy’s Donuts, and more.

Olive Garden is known for signature dishes such as salad and pasta. However, it’s become a phenomenon for their breadsticks that are to die for! Now you can dive into their bestsellers. Bring with you your huge appetite for all things Italian.

What to Expect at Olive Garden

Olive Garden is a place to feast: Located at the South Entertainment Mall of the SM Mall of Asia, this is a sprawling 382 square meters that seats around 300 guests, featuring both indoor and al fresco dining areas. The restaurant is hard to miss, just as well, considering its cozy ambiance and distinct color motif. With earth tones and elements all around, the space is designed to make diners feel like they’re in the Italian countryside.

Right at the entrance, you’ll be greeted by the restaurant’s spacious bar (perfect if you’re going solo). Have a sip of cocktails while you wait for your food, then grab a bite of a luscious dessert right after your main course!

Beyond the bar is a roomy, family-style dining area to serve you, your family, and your friends all of your Olive Garden favorites, too.

As with any brand-new food chain, expect large crowds during the opening month of Olive Garden. Either way, with the restaurant’s “welcome to the family” philosophy, everyone is sure to feel at home here.

Olive Garden Faves You Need to Try

Olive Garden is almost synonymous with its famous breadsticks. If you’re used to fluffy breadsticks that are filled with garlic and herbs, you might want to switch up your expectations for this one. The restaurant’s famous offers come in firm, plain sticks. The true star of the show is the set of dips that comes with it: marinara, alfredo, and five-cheese marinara. Follow this up with the Never-Ending Soup or Never-Ending House Salad for a kickass starter.

Then, enjoy a gastronomic tour of Italy when you treat yourself to a heavy but delicious serving of Lasagna Classico, Chicken Parmigiana, and Fettuccine Alfredo. Finish off your meal with a light dessert like Zeppoli or Tiramisu; feeling a bit more adventurous? End the meal on a high note with a cocktail. The must-try items? The Olive Gin on the Rocks and Italian Rum Punch for a soothing nightcap.

Get a taste of Olive Garden’s American-Italian goodness when you drop by the restaurant at Level 2, South Entertainment Mall, SM Mall of Asia. The restaurant is open from 10 am to 10 pm daily.
