What language does Android TV support?

Currently, the Android TV supports 68 different languages, including but not limited to English, Tagalog, Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

How do I set up my Android TV?

You can set up your Android TV in 3 easy steps:

Step 1 :Connect the TV set and Android TV with a standard HDMI

Step 2: Plug in to the power supply. The white indicator in front will turn bright, then the Android TV will power on automatically

Step 3: Connect to Wi-Fi as the initial boot guide

Step 4: Set up your Google account and start exploring

What is the minimum speed requirement for streaming on Android TV?

To stream on your Android TV, we recommend a broadband Internet connection speed of at least 5mbps.

How do I install apps on my Android TV?

There are 2 ways to do so:

  1. Install apps directly from Google Play
  2. Copy the APK file to a remote disk and plug it to Android TV, open the file and install the app by ES file manager.

How do I reset the Android TV?

To reset your Android TV, go to "Settings", then select and click on the "Storage & reset" menu.

How do I use Google Cast an Android TV?

To use Google Cast on an Android TV, simply follow the steps below:

Step 1: Ensure that both your phone/tablet and Android TV Box are connected to the same Wi-fi network

Step 2: Download the Google Home app on your phone/tablet

Step 3: Open the Google Home app and click on the cast icon on the upper right corner to be directed to the Device page

Step 4: Select "MIBOX" to connect your phone to your Android TV Box

Step 5: Enjoy casting by simply clicking on the cast icon on your apps

Please note that the Cast devices and your Android TV must be connected with the same Wi-Fi network.

How do I get updates on the software?

To get updates on your software, go to "Settings", select "About" and click on "System update"

How do I clear app data or close background apps?

To clear app data or close background apps, simply go to: 
"Settings" > "Device" > "Apps". From there, tap on the target app and choose "Clear data" or "Force stop"

What is the effective distance of the Android TV Bluetooth remote controller?

You can use the Android TV Bluetooth remote controller up to 10 meters without interference.

How do I use voice searching?

You can ask Android TV to search action movies, today's weather, or the latest celebrity news on any screen! Simply press the voice button while speaking into the voice remote control, then Android TV will search for what you want.

What language does the voice remote control support?

Currently, it supports English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean.

What kind of flash disk does Android TV support?

Android TV can support FAT32, NTFS and exFAT.

What do I do if there is a problem with a pre-loaded app?

First, check if the issue occurs on just one app, or all apps. 
If it occurs on just one app, retry the app or contact the app provider. If it occurs on all apps, try to check the networks, Google accounts, retry the apps and then reboot your Android TV.

My Android TV Isn't turning on. What should I do?

If your Android TV isn't turning on, try the following steps:

  1. Cut off the power and re-plug
  2. Check if TV is turned on and working
  3. Recheck if TV is on the proper source
  4. Recheck if the power supply is properly connected to the device and to the electric socket
  5. Recheck if the HDMI cable is properly connected to the device and to the TV's HDMI port
  6. Check that the HDMI port being used actually works by using a different known working device, or re-use an HDMI port used by another device which is known to be working.

My Android TV fails to search for Wi-Fi. What should I do?

If your Android TV has a hard time searching for Wi-Fi, simply do the following steps:

  1. Unplug, replug, then reboot the Android TV.
  2. Try to search and connect to the hotspot created by the phone. If the Android TV is ok with the hotspot, please reset the router. If the Android TV is not working with the hotspot, please:

a. Update the Android TV system

b. Reset the Android TV(On your screen, go to "Settings">>"Device">>"Storage & reset">>"Factory data reset")

What do I do if my Android TV fails to connect my bluetooth devices?

The Android TV system supports bluetooth pairing with any bluetooth devices except phones. If you experience problems pairing both devices, please reboot and try again.

What do I do if my remote does not connect to my Android TV?

If your remote doesn't connect to your Android TV, you can try the following steps:

  1. Check if there are batteries
  2. If there are batteries, ensure they are working or replace with another pair
  3. Ensure that you are pointing the remote to the front part of the device
  4. Ensure that you are of proper distance to the device as instructed in the screen

What do I do if there is an audio issue with my Android TV?

The audio signal is transmitted from Android TV to TV directly via HDMI cable. If you experience no sound or noise in the background, please check whether the HDMI cable is properly attached to both the Android TV and the TV.

Yes! Your Android TV comes with a  7 day replacement warranty. If you still experience problems with your Android TV  after following the troubleshooting steps above, you can call Xiaomi’s authorized service center at 0916-435-7532 or 0927-554-9185.
