Now let's proceed to the software part which is the modem GUI. Open your web browser then key in "192.168.1.1" to go to the Default Gateway.
Type "user" in both the username and password fields, then click ‘login'.
Expand (+) the ‘Status' Menu, click ‘Device', and then refer to the ‘Device Info' tab to view the model of your modem.
This part is the most important because this is your way of checking if your account is connected or not. Simply expand the ‘Status' Menu then click ‘WAN' to check the status of your internet connection.
To view your modem to PC connection status, just click on ‘Status' Menu then select ‘LAN'. Under LAN host, you can verify the default gateway, while under the DHCP Client you can check the IP address of your computer.
To check the signal readings, simply expand the ‘Status' Menu then click on ‘WIMAX'. Don't forget to get the signal readings! Remember, signal readings are important because this would be your basis once you conduct the isolation process.
