STEP 1


There are 4 LED indicators for Huawei BM622: under the Power Button, LAN Connection Indicator, Telephone Indicator, and Wimax Signal Strength Indicator. These LEDs are all colored blue.

Now that you've identified the different LED indicators, let's move on to the back panel of this modem. On the back panel, there's the LAN Port, Telephone Port, and Power Adapter.

Now that you've learned the hardware components of Huawei BM622, let's continue with the software part which is the modem GUI. Open your web browser and key in "192.168.1.1" to go to the Default Gateway.

Type "user" in both the username and password fields, then click ‘login'.

To view the model of your modem, just expand (+) the ‘Status' Menu, click ‘Device', and then refer to the ‘Device Info' tab.

To check the status of your internet connection, simply expand the ‘Status' Menu then click ‘WAN'.

To view your modem to PC connection status, just click on ‘Status' Menu then select ‘LAN'. Under LAN host, you can verify the default gateway, while under the DHCP Client you can check the IP address of your computer.

To check the signal readings, simply expand the ‘Status' Menu then click on ‘WIMAX
