Huawei BM625

STEP 1


With advances in modem design, Huawei BM625's LED indicators are placed on top of the modem, instead of the usual placement on its side. Here are the LED indicators of BM625.

Here's a quick look at the modem's back panel. The BM625 has 4 LAN ports and 2 telephone ports. Note: TEL1 is the only port that's working if you have a bundled service.

On the modem's side panel, you will see the Reset button. This button can be used to reboot the BM625, when necessary.

Here's the correct way to set up the BM625 if you have an external antenna installed.

Now that you've learned the hardware components of this modem, let's proceed to the software part which is the modem GUI. First, open your web browser and type "192.168.1.1" (Default Gateway) on the address bar.

Enter "user" in both the username and password fields, then click ‘login'.

To view the model of your modem, just expand (+) the ‘Status' Menu, click ‘Device', and then refer to the ‘Device Info' tab.

This part is the most important because this is your way of checking if your account is connected or not. Simply expand the ‘Status' Menu then click ‘WAN' to check the status of your internet connection.

To view your modem to PC connection status, just click on ‘Status' Menu then select ‘LAN'. Under LAN host, you can verify the default gateway, while under the DHCP Client you can check the IP address of your computer.

Don't forget to get the signal readings! Remember, signal readings are important because this would be your basis once you conduct the isolation process. To check the signal readings, simply expand the ‘Status' Menu then click on ‘WIMAX'.
