End of WAP Service

I received a message from Globe that my phone can no longer access WAP by April 30, 2017. What is this about?

Globe's WAP services will end by April 30 to continue giving way to more advanced technology. However, this only affects a small set of customers who are still using older phones that don't support advanced internet connection such as 3G and LTE and subscribers that still have the old internet settings on their phones.

What do I need to do to be able to browse the internet?

You may need to check your current internet settings. To do so, follow these steps:

    For Android users:

  • Go to Settings > Mobile Networks > Access point names
  • Select internet.globe.com.ph.
  • Make sure that there will be no Proxy and Port set.


    For iPhone users:

  • Go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Cellular Data Network
  • Input internet.globe.com.ph.
  • Make sure that there will be no Proxy and Port set.

I've now updated my internet settings. How do I turn on mobile data / start surfing?

For Android Users:

  • Go to Settings > tap on Data > Switch on Mobile data (Green)

For iPhone Users:

  • Go to Settings > tap Cellular > Switch on Cellular Data (Green)

How much will I be charged if I use mobile internet?

If you are not on a promo, you will be charged P5 for every 15 minutes or P2 per MB of browsing. However, if you want to have a worry-free surfing on your new phone, we highly recommend that you register to a GoSURF promo.

I've already upgraded my device and changed my internet settings, but I am still having trouble surfing the internet and sending/receiving MMS messages. What do I do?
