GADGET CARE COVERAGE TYPES

There are two types of coverage under Globe Gadget Care: Comprehensive Protection and Voluntary Protection.


Comprehensive Protection Coverage: This is for new and re-contracting customers who want to get a new device with their Globe Postpaid plan


The types of coverage under Comprehensive Protection include:


    1. Accidental Damage

    2. Theft or Robbery

    3. Bill Protect


The monthly Gadget Care premium for this coverage type will depend on the kind of device that you'll avail with your Globe Postpaid plan. The table below shows the most common mobile device types and the corresponding premium fees for each:

The Voluntary Protection Coverage: This is for Postpaid customers who have already have existing devices and avail of a line-only Postpaid plan (Note: Load-Tipid Plans are not eligible for this).)


This type of coverage covers Accidental Damage protection only.


The monthly Gadget Care premium for this coverage type will depend on the classification of device that the user will register for the service. Be guided by the sample table below:

What kind of damage to my phone is covered by Gadget Care?

Any accidental damage that will result to the malfunction of your device rendering it unusable is covered. This includes, but is not limited to, water damage, cracked screen, and damaged key pads. Warranty issues are not included.

Will I be covered if my phone got stolen?

Yes, Gadget Care covers known incidences and circumstances of theft or burglary. (i.e. attended theft)*

Can I claim for Gadget Care if I lost or misplaced my phone?

Sorry, Gadget Care does not cover for loss under the ff conditions:


  • due to the device being left unattended in public places
  • unexplained disappearance of devices
  • customer's negligence

REGISTRATION

How can I apply for Gadget Care?

New device:


  • Upon applying for a Postpaid plan, or recontracting your existing Postpaid plan-you must also register your new device to Gadget Care.
  • Complete the Gadget Care application form which will be submitted together with MSA and other application documents.
  • Make sure that all information provided, including that of the device, are accurate, and signatures are affixed properly for smooth claims processing.


Existing device:


  • Present the existing device at any Globe store for verification.
  • Once verified, our store specialist will assist you with the Gadget Care application form.
  • Make sure that all information provided, including that of the device, are accurate, and signatures are affixed properly for smooth claims processing.


Before verification, your device must:


  • Be of the type approved by Globe (it will be classified either as a SMARTPHONE or FEATURE PHONE)
  • Not have any external damage and its IMEI should be visible
  • Be in good working condition and can make and receive calls and texts.
  • Not be part of the list of reported stolen/lost phones


When will my mobile protection coverage take effect?

As long as you have signed your Gadget Care Availment Form and Certificate of Cover, your protection will take effect at the time you received your mobile device.

How do I know if I'm enrolled in Gadget Care?

You'll receive a welcome text upon activation of Gadget Care and a Certificate of Cover (CoC) which contains the details of your coverage.

I did not receive a welcome message; how and where can I verify if I am indeed enrolled in Gadget Care?

You may call our Globe Gadget Care Customer service at tel. (02) 756-5400 or toll-free no. 1-800-8-7565400, from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM from Monday to Friday. You may also call Globe hotline no. 730-1000.

I am a Prepaid customer; can I avail of Gadget Care?

Gadget Care can only be availed by Postpaid plan customers.

Mobile Protection Benefit Claim

Theft Benefit

1. Duly completed Claim Form


2. Two (2) latest Globe bills showing the monthly recurring fee (MRF) of your Gadget Care plan.


3. Any proof of payment made to Globe for your outstanding balance covering the claim period.


4. Original copy of Police Report secured within  seven (7) days from date of discovery.


5. Notarized Affidavit of Ownership and Loss Undertaking (National Telecommunications Commission Form for Phone Blocking).


6. Photocopy of two valid IDs.

> Proof of Relationship to Beneficiary
