GADGET CARE COVERAGE TYPES

Effective March 1, 2020, Comprehensive Gadget Care coverage is available to Consumer Globe Postpaid customers with new gadgets issued for new line applications and plan renewal.


Comprehensive coverage offers mobile protection against accidental damage and theft benefits with Bill Protect rider.


Accidental damage refers to damage that will result in the malfunction of your device rendering it unusable. This includes, but is not limited to, water damage, cracked screen, and damaged key pads. Theft benefits cover known incidences and circumstances of theft or burglary. (i.e. attended theft)

Can I claim for Gadget Care if I lost or misplaced my phone?

Sorry, Gadget Care does not cover for loss under the following conditions:


  • Loss of device due to negligence, mysterious disappearance or misplaced
  • Due to theft with the device being left unattended in public places
  • Due to theft in school while in the possession of holder who’s under 18 years of age
  • Due to unreported theft or accidental damage within seven (7) working days from discovery

REGISTRATION

How can I apply for Gadget Care?

  • Upon applying for a new line or plan renewal, you must also register your new device to Gadget Care.
  • Complete the Gadget Care application form which will be submitted together with the MSA and other application documents.
  • Make sure that all information provided, including that of the device, are accurate, and signatures are affixed properly for smooth claims processing.


Also, your device must not have any external damage,  its IMEI should be visible and be in good working condition -- can make and receive calls and texts.

How do I know if I'm enrolled in Gadget Care?

You'll receive a welcome text upon activation of Gadget Care and a Certificate of Cover (CoC) which contains the details of your coverage.

I did not receive a welcome message; how and where can I verify if I am indeed enrolled in Gadget Care?

You may call our Globe Gadget Care Customer service at tel. (02) 7756-5400 or their toll-free no. 1-800-8-7565400, from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM from Monday to Friday. You may also call Globe customer care at (02) 7730-1000.

2. Two (2) latest Globe bills showing the monthly recurring fee (MRF) of your Gadget Care plan.


3. Any proof of payment made to Globe for your outstanding balance covering the claim period.


4. Photo of the damaged device or phone.

Theft Benefit

1. Duly completed Claim Form


2. Two (2) latest Globe bills showing the monthly recurring fee (MRF) of your Gadget Care plan.


3. Any proof of payment made to Globe for your outstanding balance covering the claim period.


4. Original copy of Police Report secured within  seven (7) days from date of discovery.


5. Notarized Affidavit of Ownership and Loss Undertaking (National Telecommunications Commission Form for Phone Blocking).


6. Photocopy of two valid IDs.
