Tawag 236 FAQs

What is Globe's TAWAG236 promo offer?

Tawag236 lets you talk to your friends and family longer with its special rate of P20 for a 20-minute Globe-to-Globe and Globe-to-TM call!

How can I avail of this promo?

Simple! All you have to do is to replace the zero with 236 when dialing the Globe/TM number you want to call. For example, to be charged only P20 for your 20-minute call to 0917-1234567, dial 236-9171234567.

Do I need to register before using TAWAG236?

No need! Just replace the 0 at the start of the number you are calling with 236 and that's it.

Can I use the TAWAG236 promo to call non Globe/TM numbers?

Nope. This service only covers Globe-to-Globe and Globe-to-TM calls. Please be advised that calls to other cellular networks will be charged the regular voice call rates.

Is this a one-time promo or a permanent offer?

Tawag 236 will run until January 31, 2015.

Is the promo applicable to both peak and off peak hours?

Yes! TAWAG236 is available everyday at anytime (24 hours).

Can I use 236 while on international roaming?

Unfortunately, you can't. This promo only applies to calls made in the country.  It doesn't apply when you're using international roaming service.

How much prepaid balance should I maintain in order to use the service?

There's no maintaining balance needed, but you must have at least P20 to avail of the Tawag236 service.

How do I save by using 236?

With Globe's TAWAG236 promo, instead of being charged the regular rate of P7 per minute, you will only be charged P1 per minute. So that's only P20 for a 20-minute call!

What happens if my call exceeds 20 minutes when using 236?

Every excess of 20 minutes will be rounded up to 20 minutes, which is equivalent to P20.

Say, for example, you use the promo for a call that lasts for 24 minutes, you will be charged P40 – that's P20 for the first 20 minutes plus another P20 for the next 4 minutes. If the call lasts for 45 minutes, you will be charged P60 – that's P20 for the first and second twenty minutes plus another P20 for the last 5 minutes.

Another thing, please note that calls will be terminated at the end of the 20th minute.

What about if I use 236 but I don't use up my 20 minutes?

You will still be charged P20. For example, you use 236 and your call ends after 12 minutes – you will be charged P20. But if you'll notice, this is still cheaper than what you would be charged without 236 (12 times P7=P84).

Also, bear in mind that if your call is under 20 minutes, the remaining minutes may no longer be used for other calls.
