Emergency SMS Service

What is this service?

GTSOS or the Emergency Text Service lets you borrow 3 texts to Globe/TM numbers valid for 1 day, plus P1 load. You may register to the service even if you have zero load or with existing balance.

What's wonderful about GTSOS?
  • You can enjoy the convenience of GTSOS even when if you have zero load balance and are not able to reload immediately.
  • You may use the 3 SMS (Globe to Globe, Globe to TM) valid 24 hours. Once you have consumed all 3 SMS, you may also use the Php1 load to send another SMS even to other networks.
  • You will be charged Php 4 only after the GTSOS service expires (after 24 hours) and are able to reload at least Php 4.
Who can avail of this service?

GTSOS is available to all Globe Prepaid and TM customers.

How do I register to GTSOS?

Simply text GTSOS and send it to 3733. You will then receive a text notification, informing you that you can use the service.

Remember, you may register and use GTSOS even without load. There is also no limit on the number of times you can subscribe to the service as long as you do not have an existing or unpaid loan.

Why use the same keyword for both Globe and TM?

That's because we would like our users to use one keyword without having to worry whether they use Globe or TM brand.

Can I also subscribe to this emergency service via *143#?

Yes! Here's how:

For Globe Prepaid customers:

To access, select 2 My Account > 6 Use Emergency Text Service.

To register, select 2 My Account > 6 Use Emergency Text Service > 1 Subscribe.

To check balance, select 2 My Account > 6 Use Emergency Text Service > 2 Status.

For TM customers:

To access, select 6 Bal Inquiry > 3 Use Emergency Text Service.

To register, select 6 Bal Inquiry > 3 Use Emergency Text Service > 1 Subscribe.

To check balance, select 6 Bal Inquiry > 3 Use Emergency Text Service > 2 Status.

After subscribing, how soon can I start using the service?

You may already use the service once you received the confirmation message after registration.

Do I need to maintain Php 1? Isn't this an emergency service?

Yes. But don't worry, you can still use the GTSOS service even if you have used up the Php 1 maintaining balance.

Is the service available only for certain times of the day?

No. The Emergency Text Service is available 24/7.

Can I use GTSOS while abroad?

Sorry, but you can only register and use the service only when you are in the Philippines.

I tried to register to the service by texting GTSOS to 3733 but received an error message. How can I avail of the service?

If the message you received is "Sorry, the Emergency Text Service is currently not available. Please try again later. Thank you." That means the service is experiencing momentary downtime and may try to register again after a while.

But if the message says "You still have P4 loan from the Emergency Text Service. Please reload a sufficient amount to settle your existing loan to avail of the service again. Thank you", you still have an existing loan from a previous subscription to GTSOS. You need to reload at least Php 4, and be charged successfully before you can avail of the service again.

I received a confirmation message that I have successfully availed of GTSOS. How can I check my remaining SMS balance and when they will expire?

You can check your GTSOS SMS balance by texting GTSOSBAL to 3733. You can also text BAL to 222 (for Globe subscribers) or dial *102# (for TM subscribers).

How do I settle my existing GTSOS loan?

Just reload at least Php 4 after your GTSOS service expires. You will then be charged Php 4 and will receive the following SMS notification

Globe subscribers: "Thank you for using the Emergency Text Service on [DATE & TIME]. P4 has been successfully deducted from your current load as of [TIMESTAMP]."

TM subscribers: "Ang iyong load ay nabawasan ng P4 sa pagamit ng Emergency Text Service noong [DATE & TIME]."

What if I'm currently registered to another Globe / TM promo. Can I still avail of GTSOS?

I need to make an urgent call, do you have the same emergency service for calls?

SMS is the most popular usage of Globe / TM prepaid customers. But eventually we may offer the same emergency service for calls.

How does Emergency Text Service differ from Txt Mo Libre Ko?

With Txt Mo Libre Ko, you can text for free just by adding 2354 to the 11-digit Globe cellphone number you are trying to reach. If the recipient accepts the SMS, they will be charged Php 1 to receive it and to reply.

This will require confirmation from the person you are asking load to. With GTSOS, there's no need for a confirmation from another person. As long as you are qualified, you just need to send the correct registration syntax.

How long will you offer this service?

Emergency Text Service is a permanent emergency service from Globe.
