How do I subscribe to Spotify Premium via Direct Carrier Billing?

  1. Download Spotify and register for an account. If you’re an existing Spotify subscriber, simply log in to your account.
  2. Go to Your Library and select the gear icon on the upper right corner of your screen.
  3. Click on “GO PREMIUM” and choose Auto-renew by Mobile as your payment option.
  4. Enter your Globe Postpaid number and click “Continue”.
  5. Wait for your verification code via text. Enter this PIN code in the Spotify Premium page and click "Continue".
  6. Congrats! You can now enjoy ad-free listening experience with Spotify Premium.

Why is Spotify Premium more expensive via direct carrier billing?

I'm trying to subscribe via direct carrier billing but I couldn’t continue. What should I do?

If you have not cancelled your existing subscription through Globe, the system will not allow a new subscription to be associated with your account. Please text the corresponding keyword to 8080 before you subscribe via direct carrier billing:

I'm currently subscribed to Spotify Premium 129. Why do I need to cancel my current subscription before subscribing via direct carrier billing?

Your Spotify account can only be associated with one active subscription type. Thus, you will not be able to update your payment method to direct carrier billing while your subscription is active. However, you have the option to sign up using a new credential for a fresh start.

I previously availed of Spotify Premium as an add-on/pack. Do I get to keep my playlist if I change my payment method?

Yes, all your playlists and songs will still be there once you subscribe again! Just sign in using your existing Spotify account.

I'm on a Spotify lifestyle pack that ends after February 28. What will happen to my remaining consumables?

You may use your remaining consumables to avail of other lifestyle packs, such as GoSURF.

My Globe Postpaid line is currently disconnected. Can I still subscribe via direct carrier billing?

I'm a Globe At Home customer but I don’t have a Globe Postpaid number. What are other payment options that I can use for Spotify Premium?

You can choose any of the following payment methods if you don’t have a Postpaid number:


  • If you have a Prepaid number, you can choose from the following prepaid Spotify Premium plans:
    1. 1 day, worth P15
    2. 1 week, worth P49
    3. 1 month, worth P149
    4. 3 months, worth P447

NOTE: Spotify also offers 6-month and 1-year prepaid plans, but these can only be availed via debit card.
