Globe At Home Named Most Consistent Broadband Provider in Key Visayas Areas

Leading digital solutions platform Globe maintains its reputation for providing the most consistent internet service to its broadband customers in key provinces in the Visayas.

Ookla calculates consistency score based on the percentage of a provider’s data samples that meet minimum thresholds for download and upload speeds, set at 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload for fixed networks.

“We are happy to secure this position as we maintain our stronghold in the Visayas. We recognize the importance of a reliable and stable internet connection to our customers' daily lives, whether for work, education, or leisure. That's why we are committed to delivering the best possible service to ensure that our customers can stay connected without interruption," said Raymond Policarpio, Vice President of Globe at Home Broadband Business.

Globe remains steadfast in its pledge to provide unparalleled consistency to broadband customers across the country, in line with its commitment to economic growth and development under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

As such, it invests significantly in network builds to deliver fast and dependable connectivity to households and enterprises in the Visayas region and the rest of the nation.

The company spent a record $1.9 billion last year on capital expenditures. It also allocated an additional $2.3 billion for the next two years to further improve and expand its network infrastructure.

In 2022, 86 percent of Globe's capital expenditure was dedicated to fulfilling data requirements and ensuring that customers can access top-notch digital solutions and connectivity regardless of their location. The company's efforts included the construction of 1,702 new cell sites, the upgrade of 13,600 mobile sites, and the installation of 2,267 5G cell towers.
