The Weekend Recap: The Best Moments from Live Street 2018
Now it truly is beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Last Friday, Globe Live joined forces with Huawei and Bonifacio High Street to give music lovers in the metro a different take on the Christmas countdown. “Live Street: Make Snow Possible” was a celebrated revival of the collaborators’ Live Street concert series from earlier on in the year, a recreation of the fanfare from those concert-filled June weekends that tossed tons of Christmas hits in the mix.
Live Street’s special Holiday rendition, held at the Globe Iconic Amphitheater in Bonifacio Hight Street, enlisted musical acts, both new and established, like Karencitta, PINOPELA, IV of Spades and more for an evening of pure entertainment. Our favorite parts, of course, were the in-betweens: the magical moments captured during performances, the reactions of members of the audience who scored awesome prizes at the event and the second it began to snow right inside the venue thanks to Huawei.
Did you miss out on the grand musical weekend? Here’s the next best thing: scroll through and relive the best moments at Globe Live Street!

When Karencitta opened the show with a fun, high-energy performance.
The 23-year-old singer got the party started with her hit single “Cebuana” followed by her catchy rendition of “Ang Pasko Ay Sumapit.”
PINOPELA gave an impressive performance of the ultimate pop song medley.
Just the country’s premiere a cappella group giving pop music lovers something to sing about.
Audiences got to witness the first snowfall along with a pretty awesome soundtrack, too.
More than moving on to the next musical genre in the Live Street lineup, Rouge and Manila String Machine treated audiences to a refreshing classical-meets-contemporary collaboration.
Several lucky attendees were able to snag some amazing prizes.
A Huawei Nova 3i was up for grabs, too.

IV of Spades closed out the show.
The seven-song set included hits “Where Have You Been My Disco,” “Mga Ilaw Sa Daan,” “Hey, Barbara,” “In My Prison” and “Mundo.” It was a snow-filled finale, a sweet serenade and a Winter Wonderland kind of holiday kick-off.
