Elements Music Camp Is Back & Bigger Than Ever

Are you ready for this?

In 2010, the Elements Music Camp entered the local music scene with one goal: To discover the next generation of original singer-songwriters. And for six successful years, the camp was able to turn talented and eager individuals into notable industry players.

They came with passion and left with knowledge

They entered with talent and graduated with skills

Elements Music Camp was a project that was set up and founded by Julio D. Sy Jr. and Maestro Ryan Cayabyab with music veteran Twinky Lagdameo. Past mentors include the likes of Ebe Dancel, Gabby Alipe, Jay Durias, armi Millare, Gloc-9, Yeng Constantino, Gary Valenciano, Raimund Marasigan, Ogie Alcasid, Noel Cabangon, Chito Miranda, Jim Paredes, Rey Valera and many more.

But it’s been three years since Elements parked a new campsite and hit new notes—and while we’ve enjoyed the concerts and singles of previous participants (and now hit-makers), we’ve missed knowing that the next big thing is becoming the next big thing. There’s an anticipation and sort of thrill that comes with knowing someone new is coming to the scene.

Well, this year, in partnership with Globe, Elements is back and it’s coming back bigger than it’s ever been. Yes, campers will be mentored by the who’s who in Philippine music. Yes, they will work on original songs to hone their innate talents—but there is also so much more in store.

The new and improved Elements Music Camp is kicking things off with a reunion concert, which brings together past campers and mentors this July 21 at the UP Theatre Complex. The concert is being directed by Paolo Valenciano with Musical Director Jay Durias and his band, South Border. The likes of Audie Gemora, Ebe Dancel, Gabby Alipe, Quest, Bullet Dumas, Ben & Ben, Reese Lansangan, Josh Villena, Nicole Asencio, Sitti, Thyro & Yumi, Kat Agarrado, Keiko Necessario, Roxie Barcelo and so many more will be headlining the stage. Previous mentors Noel Cabangon, Joey Ayala and Ice Sequerra will also be making appearances. Trust us when we say this isn’t a kickoff you’ll want to miss.
