Best New Smartphones: 7 Upcoming Devices in 2023

Expect better performance and revamped designs from these exciting tech releases

Every year, companies introduce new and innovative devices that take the tech market by storm. 2023 won’t be any different. This year looks like an excellent one for the industry, so if you’re considering getting an upgrade, scroll through.

From Apple, Samsung, Google, and more: here are seven smartphone releases to watch out for in 2023.

Due for an Upgrade? The Smartphones Coming Out in 2023

Ahead, a look at the cool features and performance capabilities of this year’s new and upcoming smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy S23

Samsung, one of the tech giants known for amazing tablets and smartphones, announced at its Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event on February 1 that big things are coming. The event's confirmation fueled everyone's excitement about the expected launch of the new Galaxy S23 Series.

The company shared that an off-white variant of its 5G smartphone model will be available, alongside slight design improvements like replacing the typical camera bump. You may look forward to the same Samsung Galaxy aesthetic, though less curvy than last year's models, with possibly a 200MP camera.

Apple iPhone 15

Apple typically releases new smartphones in September, and there's no reason not to believe it will be different this year. According to rumors, the tech company is bringing in a USB-C port to allow MacBooks, iPads, and iPhones to charge with their same connectors.

Moreover, Apple may add solid-state volume buttons similar to the MacBook's trackpad. The Dynamic Island, made available last year in iPhone 14 Pro Max, is also expected to be added to all iPhone 15 models.

Google Pixel 8

Tech enthusiasts were all over Google Pixel 7 due to its impressive performance, and they're expecting more from the upcoming Google Pixel 8. Thanks to the Tensort 3 chipset, Pixel phones are more capable than ever and have personalized features added to images, video clips, security, and speech recognition.

Satellite communication support, better shots, strong software performance, and possibly a 10x optical camera zoom are also expected in this new generation of smartphones.

Oppo Find X6 Series

The next Find X series will have a revamped design and the latest super-fast processor. To note, Oppo Find X6 is set to be one of the first smart devices running on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Leaked renders suggest a radical design with a prominent circular camera on the right and middle of the phone's rear, capped with four new matte pastel colors.

Additionally, Oppo users can anticipate a flat display since the curved design of the X5 was frustrating to many. What's more, the software of the new models will reportedly be less bloated, instantly increasing the phone's usability.

OnePlus 11 Series

This beast is getting a design revamp, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 5,000mAh battery, and 100W charging. It will likely be released in early 2023. Based on rumors, the OnePlus 11 Series will have 6.7 inches display with AMOLED, providing higher refresh rates while consuming less power.

According to leaked renders, the camera unit of the OnePlus 11 Pro will resemble a giant circle on the rear of the phone rather than the square module on the current models.

Huawei P60 Series

Tech enthusiasts already expect the Huawei P60 to have powerful features, like high-quality camera performance and a larger full-screen view. The upcoming smartphone will be lightweight and sleek and come in different colors. Moreover, its screen resolution may be 1200x2640 pixels, with an internal memory of 256GB and fast charging capability.

Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro

This year, Xiaomi is taking a different route with its next series of flagship smart devices. Although the slim lines on the camera unit separating the three lenses are still there, the housing may look different with a squarer look. Those who prefer big screens are in for a surprise, as these upcoming smartphones come with a display of 6.73 inches.

Fortunately, full specs for the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro have already been disclosed to the public. Armed with three 50 MP cameras on the back, an OLED 120Hz Dolby Vision display, and a solid battery life of 4500mAh, Xiaomi enthusiasts have much to be excited about.

A Series of Revamped Designs

The latest smartphones for 2023 will be a series of exciting, upgraded designs. Tech giants have listened to fans and critics alike, and it's evident that this year's smart devices lean towards improving the user experience.

Expect cool and new features from the latest smart devices that will elevate how you communicate, do business, and enjoy. To up your game, pair your new smartphones with a Globe Postpaid plan and own the extraordinary with Globe Platinum.
