5 Best Wireless Mobile Chargers

Time to clean up your mess!

It’s nothing short of amazing how technology has transformed the mobile phones into one of the most advanced communication devices generally used today. What was meant to solely allow us to make and receive calls wirelessly now features a host of functions that help us meet the demands of modern-day living.

Unsurprisingly, wireless technology has made vast improvements to the mobile phone. Some time ago, Apple’s iPhone ditched the headphone jack to usher in its Bluetooth-connected AirPods. It might only be a matter of time until all smartphone manufacturers  get rid of wires entirely—even when it comes to charging.

If you plan to go out and shop for a wireless charger, here are some of the best ones you’d want to get your hands on.

One of the main issues with wireless charging is the heat that builds up in devices, but this wireless charging device from Tronsmart has a built-in fan to keep the temperatures low and charging speed up. It can deliver up to 10 watts of power to fast-charge any Qi-compatible device.

The package includes a USB-C to USB-A cable, which is just long enough to reach desk height without much room to be maneuvered. You will need a power adapter that supports Quick Charge 3.0 to maximize this charger’s features.

This may not be one of the best-looking units around, but its low price, safety features and charging speed definitely make up for it.

The Yootech 7.5W wireless charger is a great option for the budget-conscious buyer. Its disc-shape minimal design can wirelessly charge a variety of Qi-enabled devices and excels at it without compromising its features.

It also has a built-in protection feature against overheating with its Intelligent Protect Technology, which ensures that smartphones don’t become unusually warm during charging.

The Yootech is compatible with smartphone cases up to 4mm thick. It can also deliver 75 watts of power to Apple’s iPhone series 8 to X, as well as Samsung’s Galaxy devices from the S7 onwards.

With its sharp looks and functional design, the Seneo Fast Wireless Desktop Stand charger can be a nice fixture on your desk. Built for Samsung smartphones, the Seneo is ready to use out of the box to support fast charging that’s 1.4 times faster than your standard charging cord.

While it’s built for Samsung smartphones, this Qi-enabled charger is ready to support Apple smartphones from the iPhone 8 to X as well, but only at regular wireless charging speeds.

The Seneo wireless charger also features a foreign body detection alert in case a magnet or metal case is nearby, shutting off charging automatically to avoid damaging the hardware. It’s ideal for your crowded desk by reducing the need for cables while adding a sleek design that doesn’t take up much space.

If you seem to always be in a race against the clock, Pasonomi’s fast wireless charger is right up your alley. It’s Qi 2.0 vast wireless charging feature can power a Samsung Galazy smartphone from zero to full in two hours—that’s 1.4 times faster than your average Qi-enabled charging pads.

Like all Qi fast chargers, devices should be Qi-enabled. However, non-fast charge enabled devices can still be wirelessly charged, but at default charging speed.

Anker’s PowerWave Pad has a 10-watt output that not only charges smartphones like Samsung’s Galaxy S9 fast, but also an iPhone X at 7.5 watts. Either way, you still get top speed regardless of the phone.

The flat white disc design is fairly low-key with a decent weight, so it doesn’t slide across your desk. It also features a fan, which is great for keeping your phone’s temperature in check while charging. However, it does make an audible noise, so it wouldn’t be ideal for your nightstand.

Wireless charging is taking the next evolutionary step in the development of device charging. It may not be new tech, but companies are continuously finding better ways to juice up smartphones sans the cables.

Pretty soon, overheating won’t be an issue and charging times will continue to lessen. Who knows, we might not even need to put them on desktop stands next time.
