Due to overwhelming response, Globe is extending its #SeniorDigizen: Teach Me How To ‘Digi’ TikTok contest until October 8, 2023, aligning perfectly with the nation’s Elderly Week festivities. That's more time for those memorable videos and heartwarming moments with Lolo and Lola!
Launched on September 10, 2023, in honor of Grandparents Day, the #SeniorDigizen challenge has been a delightful blend of humor and nostalgia as Gen Z and millennials create TikTok videos about their grandparents’ or parents’ journey into the digital world. Impressively, the campaign quickly garnered two million views on TikTok.
“We are thrilled by the overwhelming response to the #SeniorDigizen campaign. This extension not only allows more families to participate but also emphasizes our dedication to fostering digital literacy among our senior citizens. It's heartwarming to see the younger generation guiding their elders through the digital world, bridging the generation gap,” said Yoly Crisanto, Globe Group Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer.
The top 25 entries will get ₱25,000 worth of Globe Group products and may get up to ₱75,000 in goodies upon finishing a two-month ambassadorship program. Winning grandparents should also be ready for some engaging learning sessions as part of the #SeniorDigizen Ambassador program.
Through the collaboration with KonsultaMD, winning seniors will get the following prizes:

- Essential medicines
- Vitamins
- Cataract screening, arthritis screening, and ultrasound (any part of the body) at
- RVEC Specialty Clinics
- Hearing tests in any of 15 partner Manila Hearing Aid Centers

Partner with your parent, grandparent or elderly relative 60 and above and craft a video 15 seconds to five minutes long while guiding them through the tech world. Whether it's navigating a new app, crafting a slick instant message, diving into social media, or any tech twist you fancy, make it count!
