917Ventures, Globe’s corporate venture builder, through its API venture Concati, has launched API Build Lab: Building the Next Wave of APIs for Southeast Asia.
The program invites developers and startups to submit new API concepts or existing APIs with strong commercialization potential. Selected ideas will gain access to mentoring, funding, and the chance to reach the global API marketplace.
Why It Matters
API Build Lab will culminate at Geeks on a Beach (GOAB) 2025, the Philippines’ premier international tech conference happening on October 2–3 in Cebu.
The initiative reflects 917Ventures’ commitment to strengthening Southeast Asia’s developer ecosystem, opening opportunities across fintech, e-commerce, logistics, and more while shining a spotlight on the Philippines as an emerging tech hub.
Opportunities for Developers
Finalists will take part in a virtual two-week Build Sprint from September 19 to October 3, 2025, featuring hands-on coaching and regular checkpoints with 917Ventures’ product and technology experts.
The Top 5 finalists will each receive travel allowances, other perks including AWS credits, and one complimentary conference ticket to Geeks on a Beach (Oct 2-3), where the winners will be announced.

- ₱30,000 – 2nd Place
- ₱20,000 – 3rd Place
Winning APIs may be published, marketed, and monetized on Concati’s open-exchange marketplace, enabling developers to scale their solutions globally.
