Partner in Passion: Globe Brings G Creator Con to Cebu, Provides Platform for Creators in Visayas
Following its successful pilot in Metro Manila, Globe is bringing its G Creator Con to Cebu on April 26 to provide a platform that seeks to uplift and enable creators and creative communities in the Visayas region.
G Creator Con aims to inspire today’s youth to unleash their creativity. It hopes to become their partner in enriching their passions, offering a formidable lineup of speakers from Globe’s different partners in technology and network of creator communities.
Globe is dedicated to expanding its presence across the Philippines, focusing on school communities. The company delivers programs that introduce students to new interests and provide opportunities to demonstrate their skills.
“We are excited to bring G Creator Con to Cebu and, eventually, other regions. We continue to advocate for the self-discovery of passions while being one’s most authentic self in the creative spaces we provide," said Pia Gonzalez-Colby, Globe's Chief Marketing Officer. "We want to inspire more Filipinos, especially the youth, to find and freely explore what ignites them from inside out."
G Creator Con features a roster of podcasters as speakers, among them host and celebrity Bianca Gonzales (“Pano Ba ‘To”), producer and entrepreneur Mel Lozano (“Endslate”), and content creators Jacob Maquiling and Lance Arevada (“Ganito Kasi ‘Yan”) . Attendees can look forward to engaging in various pursuits, including cosplaying, podcasting, creative design, content creation, game development, gaming and more, providing ample opportunities for everyone to learn, share, and network.
The event will open at the Michael Richartz Center, University of San Carlos - Talamban Campus, where participants can enjoy talks by representatives from Anima Podcasts, ARCHcon, Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Cebu Making Space, DTI Design Center, Game Developers Association of the Philippines, Mandaue Nights, Republiq Group of Companies, TikTok, and Tier One Entertainment.
G Creator Con builds on Globe's strategy of enabling subcultures and communities centered around youth interests such as gaming, anime, K-culture, and more. Through creator-focused programs and partnerships, Globe aims to uplift regional talents and enrich lives through self-discovery.
