Globe deepens its #GlobeofGood commitment as GoGIVE reaches over 7.6 billion hearts from young active givers, completes 7 cause goals and 6 fundraisers, and expands support to communities in need

Globe’s purpose-driven digital giving platform, GoGIVE, has won the Silver Award under the Technology Category at the PR Awards Asia-Pacific 2026 by Campaign Asia-Pacific, affirming how the company is transforming everyday connectivity into a meaningful force for community support, youth participation, and nation-building.

The regional recognition marks another milestone in Globe’s growing track record of communication excellence and social responsibility, following its back-to-back PR Awards Asia-Pacific wins in 2024 and 2023 for #MakeITSafePH. GoGIVE was also recently recognized on the global stage as a finalist at the GSMA GLOMO Awards during the most recent Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

But for Globe, the award is more than a trophy. It is a recognition of the thousands of young Filipinos who have shown that doing good does not always have to begin with money, extra time, or grand gestures. Sometimes, it can begin with something as simple as going online.

Built inside the GlobeOne app, GoGIVE enables prepaid users to opt in, choose an advocacy close to their heart, and earn “hearts” for partner causes through the mobile data they already use every day. By turning data usage into a trackable unit of social value, Globe has made giving more accessible, visible, and habit-forming for Gen Z and Gen Alpha customers who care deeply about causes but often need an easier way to participate.

“At Globe, sustainability is not separate from the services we offer. It is embedded in how we connect people, how we design digital experiences, and how we use our scale to help communities,” said Yoly Crisanto, Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer at Globe. “GoGIVE shows that young Filipinos are not passive observers of social issues. They want to help, and when we remove the barriers to participation, they respond with heart. This award belongs to our customers, our partners, and every young giver who proves that everyday actions can create real impact.”

Launched under the #GlobeofGood masterbrand, GoGIVE was designed around a simple but powerful insight - the youth are not short on compassion; they are short on an easy way in. Instead of asking young users to give what they may not have, Globe built around what they already use daily - mobile data.

Through its #GoGIVEYourHeart campaign, Globe brought GoGIVE into youth culture with cause-led hand gestures, creator content, interactive effects, TopView placements, and Branded Missions that made participation feel social, immediate, and native to the platform. From there, users were guided into GlobeOne, where they could choose a cause, earn hearts, track progress, and continue supporting new goals after previous ones were completed.

The results showed the power of making purpose part of everyday behavior. From an initial target of 840 million hearts per advocacy, Gen Z and Gen Alpha users went above and beyond, generating more than 7.6 billion hearts in just 12 months. Three core advocacies reached their goals early, unlocking support for child education, animal rescue, and women’s livelihood.

“What makes GoGIVE special is that it meets our prepaid customers where they are. They do not need to change their lifestyle or spend more to help. They simply use their data, choose a cause, and become part of something bigger,” said Givielle Florida, Head of Globe Prepaid. “For Gen Z and Gen Alpha, giving should feel real, simple, and close to their daily lives. GoGIVE turns their everyday digital habits into acts of care, and we invite more young Filipinos to join, keep earning hearts, and keep supporting the causes they believe in.”

GoGIVE has also proven its ability to respond to urgent community needs. Beyond everyday giving, the platform has become a lifeline that supported disaster relief and recovery efforts in some of the country’s most critical moments.

Through GoGIVE in 2025, Globe partnered with Ayala Foundation to provide psychosocial support to children and parents affected by the earthquake in Cebu; worked with the Philippine Eagle Foundation to provide relief goods to families affected by the earthquake in Davao Oriental; helped rehabilitate Pawssion Project’s animal shelter in Bacolod after the devastation of Typhoon Tino; and supported relief efforts through Rise Against Hunger Philippines following Super Typhoon Uwan.

This year, GoGIVE renewed its partnership with Rise Against Hunger Philippines to deliver relief goods to families affected by the Mayon Volcano eruption, while also working with Project PEARLS to support indigenous farmers by purchasing their harvests during the surge in fuel prices, helping ensure they continued to earn fairly and sustainably despite the crisis.

As part of its continued support for cause partners, Globe also provided each organization with a connectivity kit consisting of five units of The Loop from Globe AT HOME with one year of connectivity. These devices help power both office- and field-based initiatives for the following partners:

  1. Ayala Foundation for their CENTEX Digital Education Program
  2. The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) for online adoptions, veterinary care, and emergency rescue of animals;
  3. Philippine Eagle Foundation for their indigenous-led and community-based conservation efforts;
  4. Project PEARLS for their G.R.O.W. (Giving Resources and Opportunities to Women) Program;
  5. PGH Medical Foundation, Inc. for their hospital frontliners and patients;
  6. Special Olympics Pilipinas for its training activities that advance inclusion and empower persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities through sports, health, and leadership;
  7. World Vision Philippines for its child protection programs.

Globe’s vision for GoGIVE is rooted in a broader commitment to uplift the lives of Filipinos. For the company, building a Globe of Good means using technology not only to connect people, but to connect them to opportunity, compassion, and shared responsibility. It means designing digital experiences that make care easier to practice, partnerships easier to scale, and impact easier to sustain.

As Globe continues to expand its platforms, products, and services, it remains committed to creating solutions that help Filipinos participate in nation-building in ways that feel personal, practical, and meaningful. Through GoGIVE, every message sent, every video watched, every app used, and every gigabyte consumed can become part of a larger movement of care.

Because when connectivity is used with purpose, it does more than keep people online. It brings communities connected, gives young Filipinos a stronger voice in shaping the future, and helps build a country where helping create a Globe of Good can be part of everyday life as we go forward together.
