Asticom, the tech-enabled outsourcing arm of Globe, celebrates a decade of growth, transformation, and impact after turning a five-person organization into a multi-service enterprise of more than 4,000 talents.
Launched in 2015 as a shared staffing service, Asticom evolved into managed and digital services by 2019. Today, it serves over 40 industries—ranging from fintech and telecom to logistics and infrastructure—driven by people, powered by technology, and built on a foundation of strategic business success.
Asticom’s five core service pillars include talent outsourcing, employee experience, customer experience, IT, and engineering, offering scalable solutions that match market demand while enabling nationwide employment.
“As we step into the next decade, our focus remains on innovation, business excellence, and making a lasting impact on the industries and communities we serve,” said Mharicar Castillo-Reyes, President and CEO of Asticom. “Every milestone—whether in business, job creation, or tech advancement—has been made possible because of our dedicated people, strong partnerships, and valued customers who continue to believe in our mission.”
During the pandemic, Asticom launched Project Alalay to support displaced workers, creating 3,000 jobs in 2021 alone. That same year, the organization accelerated its transformation journey and expanded into BPO, on-demand logistics, staffing, and engineering services.
This momentum continued with the acquisition of an HR digital solutions firm from Ayala and the launch of an in-house technology center in 2022 to support its growing ecosystem.
In 2023, Asticom launched NXT, its proprietary talent and job platform. The following year, it consolidated its brand, realigned its business lines, and refined its commercial strategy to elevate customer experience and improve operational efficiency.
The company also led infrastructure and technology deployment through its engineering arm, rolling out over 155,000 fiber lines to connect thousands of Filipino homes and businesses.
Its IT-BPO unit supported over 100,000 employees through human capital management solutions, while investments in AI-powered learning, operations, and workforce tools continue to future-proof its services.
These achievements were supported by over 30 collaborations with innovators from China, India, Singapore, Japan, and the U.S., all aimed at enhancing operational efficiency for clients.
Asticom also broadened its international footprint through a strategic alliance with GTI Corporation, extending its presence across APAC, particularly in Japan, Singapore, and the U.S. Additionally, the company is also targeting new markets in Australia and New Zealand.
Another breakthrough came in 2024, when Asticom, in partnership with Transcelestial and Globe, pioneered Free-Space Optical (FSO) communication in the Philippines.
A strong people-first culture remains central to Asticom’s success, earning the Great Place to Work® certification and recognition as one of the Philippines’ Best Employers by Statista for two consecutive years. Castillo-Reyes was, likewise, honored as People-Focused CEO of the Year.
To date, Asticom has earned more than 30 regional accolades, including recognition from the Asia Pacific STEVIE® Awards, TITAN Business Awards, Asia CEO Awards, and Asian Technology Excellence Awards.
Through its “Best of Both Worlds” learning program, employees gained 32,000 training hours across 36 courses focused on digital transformation, AI, and customer experience. Meanwhile, its partnerships with AC Health provide cancer care, mental wellness support, and flexible work arrangements to promote well-being.
“People have always been at the core of what we do. From day one, we set out to create an organization that not only delivers business solutions but also fosters an environment where people can grow, make an impact, and thrive,” said Castillo-Reyes.
To cap off a decade of growth and innovation, Asticom will host Pulse 2025: B2B Innovation & Leadership Forum, its first industry summit, on July 11, 2025. The event will bring together partners and leaders to explore people-led, tech-powered outsourcing aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals on decent work, innovation, and global partnership.
