Fiber continues to drive Globe’s broadband growth as more Filipino households shift to reliable, flexible, and affordable home connectivity
Globe’s broadband business continued to gain momentum in the first half of 2026 as more Filipino households shifted to fiber, with GFiber Prepaid driving customer growth and stronger engagement across the Globe AT HOME portfolio. The business benefited from the continued migration of households from legacy fixed wireless services to fiber, reflecting a clear preference for faster, more reliable, and future-ready home internet.
Wired broadband subscribers grew 32% year-on-year to over 2 million, more than offsetting the decline in legacy fixed wireless subscribers. Globe AT HOME broadband revenues stood at ₱12.4 billion in the first half of 2026, up 6% year-on-year, with fiber accounting for 93% of the total. This shift to more reliable wired connectivity continues to strengthen Globe’s broadband business by supporting more sustainable revenue growth and improving the overall quality of the subscriber base.
At the center of this performance was GFiber Prepaid, which maintained its strong momentum into the second quarter. As of end-June 2026, GFiber Prepaid reached 1.1 million subscribers, reflecting the growing preference among Filipino households for a flexible and affordable broadband option that best fits their lifestyle. Growth was further supported by higher-value reloads, underscoring Globe’s ability to scale the business while maximizing long-term customer value and profitability.
“As more customers choose fiber for a better home connectivity experience, Globe At Home continues its growth trajectory, reflecting the trust placed in our services,” said Abigail Cardino, Vice President and Head of Globe’s Broadband Business. “Home is where the Filipino heart beats, and GFiber Prepaid is how we keep it connected.
