Globe Telecom Wins Innovation Rockstar Award in Zoom Partner Marketing Awards

Globe Telecom—through its enterprise arm, Globe Business—is the recipient of the 2021 Zoom Partner Marketing Awards from Zoom Video Communications, Inc., commending the company's inventive spirit and impactful achievements. The award was presented to Globe for winning the APAC Innovation Rockstar Partner Marketing Award at Zoomtopia Partner Connect.

Partner Connect is a partner-focused event designed to inform and inspire partners on Zoom’s vision, how they can better sell, learn about new program updates, and celebrate their successes.

The award program recognizes organizations that have strategized and executed impactful marketing campaigns around Zoom. This year, Zoom received submissions from partners across 17 countries for the Zoom Partner Marketing Awards. The company has awarded each winner with $10,000 USD in Zoom Marketing Development Funds toward a future campaign.

Globe’s After 5 Game Night campaign demonstrated creativity and innovation by executing a virtual game night inspired by pre-pandemic pub quizzes. Through the Zoom platform, After 5 Game Night was able to serve as Globe Business’ primary, intimate client engagement initiative, enabling one-on-one engagements with clients to showcase Globe’s premier ICT partners and their solutions.

"Our partners are doing incredible things, and Zoom's inaugural Partner Marketing Awards recognize the most impactful Zoom marketing campaigns over the past year," said Laura Padilla, Head of Global BD and Channel at Zoom, "As organizations and individuals around the world are reimagining work, communications and collaboration, the Zoom partner community is integral in delivering Zoom’s platform to our global customers, and we commend their exceptional results, creativity, and innovation.”

“When the pandemic hit, the world shifted to becoming more dependent on digital technologies. Companies turned to online meetings and webinars to communicate and collaborate. Engagements then turned into transactional calls, where the magic of pre-pandemic micro-moments no longer happened; where virtual calls and meetings became less interactive,” mentioned Peter Maquera, Senior Vice President for Globe Business, Enterprise Group.

Virtual meetings in the pandemic period lack the human touch that people get during physical meetings. Through creativity, Globe Business was able to maximize the usage of technology in somehow replicating the emotions that physical interactions provide, making it engaging, award-winning and memorable.

He added, “On the upside, health and safety protocols brought forth the need for companies to accelerate their digital transformation, providing a unique opportunity for Globe Business to leverage relationships with customers as their Business Advisor, and thus creating the prerogative to rekindle more personal client engagements. The After 5 Game Night enabled by Zoom allowed us to build deeper connections with our customers. The ease and convenience of the platform have been instrumental in making the program very scalable.”

Globe Business is well-positioned to help businesses take advantage of big changes and momentous transitions, without losing the prized human aspect of each interaction. As an early adopter of 5G and Zoom’s cloud-based, infinitely scalable communications architecture, Globe can help businesses make sense of the technology fueling the present surge of innovation.
