Globe has started restoration efforts following the onslaught of Super Typhoon Nando, which disrupted services in some parts of North Luzon.

“We have mobilised our network teams on ground so restoration can start immediately,” Yoly Crisanto, Globe’s Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer said. “Our priority is to quickly and safely restore essential communications services.”

Ongoing assessments indicate that 276 cities and municipalities in 15 provinces within Globe’s coverage area were affected by the typhoon, including Batanes, Cagayan, Ilocos, La Union, Pangasinan, and Zambales. The most heavily impacted is Ilocos Norte, where 22 cities and municipalities are experiencing outages, primarily due to power interruptions. In total, 100 municipalities across affected areas are facing service outages caused by power loss and transmission issues. Globe teams are prioritizing restoration in these locations to bring essential connectivity back for residents, local governments, and emergency responders.
