Alagang Globe Provides Continuous Support and Connectivity After Typhoon Uwan

Globe is standing with communities across Luzon during Typhoon Uwan, providing continuous support, relief, and connectivity. In partnership with local government units and humanitarian organizations, Globe ensures that families can recover, reconnect, and receive the care they need as conditions stabilize.

 

Restoring Connectivity Across Luzon

 

Globe is steadily restoring network services back across Luzon to help communities stay connected. In North Luzon, 100% network availability has been achieved in Cagayan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Benguet, Zambales, Apayao, Nueva Ecija, Ilocos Norte, and Bulacan, with 88.48% of the overall network restored and ongoing work in Abra, Ilocos Sur, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Ifugao, La Union, Pangasinan, and Bataan. 

 

In South Luzon, full service has been restored in Batangas, Masbate, Cavite, Occidental Mindoro, Laguna, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro, and Marinduque, with 90.41% of the network availability and continued restoration in Aurora, Quezon, Albay, Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Biliran, Eastern Samar, Leyte, Northern Samar, Southern Leyte, and Western Samar.

Delivering Relief to Families

 

Through Ayala Foundation Inc. (AFI) and Brigadang Ayala, Globe is distributing food packs and essential supplies to communities in Rosario, Northern Samar, and Sangay, Camarines Sur, with deliveries scheduled for November 14. 

 

In partnership with Rise Against Hunger Philippines (RAH), Globe is extending life-saving assistance to families across Luzon. Customers can also contribute by donating Globe Rewards points via the GlobeOne App, helping reach more communities in need. Recent efforts have already delivered 600 food packs to 200 families in Ilocos Norte and Cagayan, with additional relief underway.

Globe continues to provide support for customers in typhoon-affected areas by offering free call, text, and data services for Globe Prepaid and TM subscribers, extending payment deadlines for Globe Postpaid and GFiber accounts, and providing free data allocations for Globe AT HOME Prepaid WiFi users. Customers can also use Globe Rewards and GCash to support on-ground relief partners delivering essential aid to families across Luzon.

Alagang Globe Brings Relief and Connectivity to Areas Affected by Typhoon Uwan

Globe is standing with communities impacted by Typhoon Uwan, providing connectivity, relief, and on-ground assistance across Luzon. The company has been working closely with local government units and humanitarian partners to help families recover and reconnect in the aftermath of the storm.

 

Restoring Connectivity Across Luzon

 

Globe’s network teams have been working around the clock to restore services in affected provinces, ensuring customers can reach loved ones and access critical information.

 

In North Luzon, Globe has restored 100% network availability in the provinces of Tarlac, Pampanga, Zambales, Apayao, Nueva Ecija, and Ilocos Norte. Technical teams continue to work in other affected areas to ensure full connectivity is maintained across impacted regions.

 

In South Luzon, network availability is currently at 82.82% in the entire area. Full service has been achieved in Batangas, Cavite, Occidental Mindoro, Laguna, Albay, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro, and Marinduque. Technical teams remain deployed in coordination with local disaster response units to expedite restoration in remaining towns.

 

Extending Relief and Care

 

Through Ayala Foundation Inc. (AFI) and Brigadang Ayala, Globe is supporting relief operations in Rosario, Northern Samar and Sangay, Camsur, bringing essential goods and comfort to families in evacuation areas.

 

In partnership with Rise Against Hunger Philippines (RAH), Globe also helped deliver 600 food packs to 200 families in Ilocos Norte and Cagayan, reaching those most affected by the storm. More food assistance under Brigadang Ayala is being readied for deployment to other communities.

 

Free Call, Charging, and WiFi Stations

 

To ensure people can stay connected amid power and signal interruptions, Globe has activated Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging, and Libreng WiFi (LTLCW) sites in key locations across Luzon.

 

Free service areas have been set up in Brgy. Care, Tarlac City; Brgy. Backiling, Aparri, Cagayan; Brgy. Dominican Hill–Mirador and Brgy. Bakakeng Norte in Baguio City, Benguet; Pili Public Market, Camarines Sur; and Daet Poblacion, Camarines Norte.

 

These sites are open between November 10 and 13, operating from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and are located in or near evacuation centers to provide immediate access to communication support for affected residents.

In line with its Alagang Globe commitment, Globe continues to provide assistance to customers in typhoon-affected areas through:

 

  • Free call, text, and data services for Globe Prepaid and TM customers.
  • Extended payment deadlines for Globe Postpaid and GFiber Postpaid subscribers.
  • Free data allocations for Globe At Home Prepaid WiFi users.
  • Donation channels via Globe Rewards and GCash, supporting Rise Against Hunger Philippines and other on-ground partners delivering food and relief aid.

Globe Ramps Up Relief in Typhoon Uwan Areas, Continues Tino Response

Globe supports communities affected by Typhoon Uwan, while restoration and relief efforts remain ongoing for Typhoon Tino.

 

As of the latest update, “Uwan” has weakened into a Typhoon and is now over the coastal waters of Bacnotan, La Union. Heavy rainfall, strong winds, and storm surges are expected across Luzon, including Metro Manila. Uwan is forecasted to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) early Tuesday this week. 

 

Relief and Restoration in Uwan-Hit Areas

 

Globe has activated Libreng Tawag, Charging, and WiFi (LT/LC/LW) services in eight (8) confirmed areas to assist affected residents. These include:

  • Cauayan City, Isabela
  • Laoag City, Ilocos Norte (two sites)
  • Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija
  • Naga City, Camarines Sur
  • Lasam, Cagayan
  • Dalakit, Catarman, Northern Samar
  • Baldios, Santa Ignacia, Santa Ignacia, Tarlac 

Additional activations are ongoing in other affected provinces.

 

Through Alagang Globe, 600 meals were distributed to 200 families in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, and Aparri, Cagayan, as part of Globe’s continuing relief operations for communities impacted by the storm.

 

Network restoration is progressing steadily, with 100% availability in Aklan, Antique, Biliran, Bohol, Capiz, Eastern Samar, Guimaras, Iloilo, Northern Samar, Western Samar, and Siquijor, 99% in Palawan, and ongoing restoration in Cebu (95.5%), Leyte (93.3%), Negros Oriental (98%), Negros Occidental (79%), and Southern Leyte (67%).

 

Ongoing Efforts in Tino-Hit Areas

 

Globe continues to provide connectivity and assistance in areas previously impacted by Typhoon Tino, with 100% network availability in Dinagat Islands and Surigao del Norte, 99.9% in Palawan (SLZ), and 99.27% in Cebu Province.

 

Libreng Charging and WiFi stations also remain active in four barangays in Cebu City, Guba, Angsungot, Binaliw, and Cambinucot, from November 9 to 11, operating daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. to support residents’ communication needs.

Globe Brings Wider Network Restoration, Opens More Libreng Tawag, Charging, WiFi Sites in Typhoon Tino-Hit Areas

Globe continues to deliver critical support to communities affected by Typhoon Tino, with accelerated restoration efforts across the Visayas and Mindanao. The company has deployed technical teams, activated Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging, and Libreng WiFi (LTLCLW) stations, and is preparing for wider relief operations in severely impacted areas.

 

Globe services have now been fully restored in Palawan, while network restoration in the Visayas has reached 97.5 percent. Reports show full network restoration in the provinces of Aklan, Antique, Biliran, Bohol, Capiz, Eastern Samar, Guimaras, Northern Samar, Siquijor, Negros Oriental, and Iloilo. Globe teams remain deployed across remaining sites to ensure full connectivity is restored as quickly as possible.

 

Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging, and Libreng WiFi (LTLCW) Sites Activated

 

To support residents, Globe has activated additional locations to provide free calls, device charging, and WiFi access:

Relief Operations

 

In partnership with Ayala Foundation Inc. (AFI) through Brigadang Ayala, Globe continues to extend relief assistance to communities affected by Typhoon Tino. Previously, a total of 1,000 food packs were distributed to Barangay Dumlog in Talisay City and Barangay Bonbon in Cebu City. A second batch of aid was also deployed in Negros Occidental, with 400 food packs distributed in Isabela and 600 in Binalbagan. Globe remains in coordination with local governments to reach more affected families across the Visayas and Mindanao.
