Tech for Social Good
Future Makers is the social innovation program of the Singtel Group of Companies within the Asia Pacific region. Launched in 2016 in Singapore and Australia, it seeks to recognize the most innovative technology-enabled solutions focused on solving social issues in Singapore, Australia, and the Philippines.
Globe's Future Makers program aims to help build an ecosystem of support for social innovators using technology to solve the Philippines’ most challenging social problems. It is open to startups committed to achieving a wide scale positive social impact and using the power of technology to change the world.
Program Mechanics
Eligibility
- The competition is open to individuals, groups, start-ups, and social enterprises based in the Philippines.
- If joining as a team, applicants are requested to choose one lead member to be the main applicant.
- The entries should clearly articulate how technology is used to drive the social impact of their organization.
- The solutions must focus on using technology for social good. The technology can be a machine, device, platform, or hardware/software.
- The entries must be:
- Beyond the ideation and conceptual stage
- A functional product or service with actual
users
- Operational or in the market for 2 years or more for an added advantage
- The entries must be submitted in English.
- The entries must be addressing any of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Benefits
After a rigorous selection process, 5 start-ups will be chosen and will be provided with a follow-up support network to grow and scale their social impact.
As part of Globe Future Makers, they will receive technology support worth P200,000 on a need and business relevance basis; critical non-monetary support such as industry insights, individual mentoring, and coaching; networking opportunities; and potential collaboration with the SingTel Group and its partner organizations.

innovators who use tech for social good.
Who can join the Globe Future Makers program and what can I expect from it?
We welcome social innovators and social enterprises with relevant technological or innovative solutions that can solve existing and emerging social sector challenges in the Philippines and the region to join the Globe Future Makers program.
This will run for 3 months with follow-up support. Future Makers will attend
workshops, coaching sessions and regular business mentoring by seasoned
entrepreneurs and industry experts. Most importantly, there are ample
opportunities for community engagement and access to networking events.
