I heard that roaming signal will be provided. How do I request this?

You don't need to manually request for roaming activation. Upon arrival, you just need to turn on your phone to automatically receive a roaming signal and instantly connect to our partner network. It's best to set your device's setting to 2G/3G first. To enjoy LTE signal, register to a data roaming promo via GlobeOne or GCash.



Why can't I get a signal from a partner network?

If you don't have signal while roaming, it may be due to unavailability of 2G and 3G network because select roaming partners have already started to shut down 2G and 3G access making call and text services unavailable or leave you without signal. What is an APN and how do I set it correctly?

An Access Point Name (APN) is a setting that provides all the details your device needs to connect to your provider's network. This connection is what allows you to enjoy all the features offered by your SIM card such as mobile data browsing.


To change your APN settings and enjoy seamless data browsing on your phone, just follow these steps:

How long will I have my roaming signal?

There's no expiration for your roaming signal. As long as you're in a country with a partner network, you will still have roaming signal. If you'll be roaming for a long time, remember to keep your SIM active so you can stay connected with your loved ones.

How do I make calls and texts when I am abroad?

You can make regular roaming calls as long as you have roaming signal and sufficient load. Click here to check the standard pay-per-use rates per zone.


As an alternative, you may check our Roam Surf App Data Packs for as low as P100/day to make calls and texts via messaging apps such as Facebook, Viber, and WhatsApp. Access the GlobeOne app to see the complete list of affordable roaming promos. Will I be charged for unanswered incoming and outgoing calls?

You will not be charged for any unanswered incoming and outgoing calls unless you will leave a voice mailbox message. However, there are some international network provider partners that impose interconnection charges for unanswered calls. A fraction of a minute is rounded up. Hence, this will be counted as one whole minute.

How much load balance do I need to have roaming signal and use a roaming promo?

You don't need a maintaining balance to have a roaming signal, but you need to have sufficient load in order to register to a roaming promo.

Will I lose my roaming signal if I run out of load?

You will still have roaming signal, regardless if you have load or not. However, you will not be able to make any outgoing calls and outgoing texts, or receive incoming calls if you have insufficient load balance. You will still receive incoming texts even without any load since these are free-of-charge.

How do I check my remaining load balance?

You can check your load balance and track your usage on the GlobeOne app. You can also check your balance on GCash or text ROAM DATA BAL to 8080 toll-free.

How do I load so I can register to a roaming promo?

To load, open the GlobeOne app. Tap Buy Load and select your mobile number. Choose or enter the desired load amount and tap Buy Load to confirm. You may also load via GCash. Tap Load > Mobile > Globe, enter your mobile number, and tap Next to proceed. Enter the desired load amount and tap Buy Now to confirm.


Once you have successfully loaded, you can now register to a roaming promo.

Where can I check the list of roaming promos I can use abroad?

You may see our complete list of roaming promos on the GlobeOne app. Go to Buy > Roaming, and choose your promo. Prepaid promos are also available via GCash. Click Load > Mobile > Globe > Roaming & Intl.

Can I register to other prepaid promos while on roaming?

While roaming, you are only allowed to subscribe to roaming promos such as Roam Surf and GoRoam. All local promos such as Go and Go+ are temporarily unavailable when you're roaming. Once you're back in the Philippines, your roaming will automatically be deactivated and our local promos and services which are within validity will instantly resume.

What will happen if I don't deactivate my roaming service?

You don't need to request for manual roaming deactivation. Your roaming will automatically be deactivated once you're back in the Philippines. Your local promos and services which are within validity will instantly resume.
