Through its alliance with Globe, PHINMA Education, a fast-growing network of schools in Southeast Asia, makes quality education accessible for Filipino students from underserved communities by providing them with free mobile data to overcome the challenges of online learning.

Globe created a customized mobile package for PHINMA Education students to maximize their remote learning experience. The monthly package comes with open-access data allotment and data allotment for Facebook and YouTube, enabling students to stay connected to teachers and peers while also being able to use different online materials that are essential to their learning.

"We knew that our market would be challenged on several fronts when it came to distance learning. Limited access to the internet is one of the main issues for our students. We realized that their success primarily comes from support from the school, their peers, and teachers," said Dr. Raymundo "Emon" Reyes, PHINMA Education Philippine Country Head.

Instilling Positive Change in Students through the Power of Connectivity

PHINMA Education owns and operates nine schools in the Philippines—PHINMA Araullo University, PHINMA Cagayan de Oro College, PHINMA University of Pangasinan, PHINMA University of Iloilo, Southwestern University PHINMA in Cebu City, PHINMA Saint Jude College in Manila, PHINMA Republican College in Quezon City, PHINMA Rizal College of Laguna, and PHINMA Union College of Laguna. The organization also manages one school in West Java, Indonesia through Horizon Education.

With its partnership with Globe, PHINMA Education has received a slew of positive feedback from its students on social media, praising the institution for the additional support it extends beyond just teaching.

Reyes shared, "Our students feel that there is empathy in the difficulties they go through with the changes brought about by the pandemic. We are happy to know that our alliance with Globe has helped our students adjust and cope with the challenges of distance learning this year.”

As students transform their homes into places for learning, PHINMA Education's partnership with Globe provides value-laden connectivity, making learning delivery more efficient as the society moves to a normalized remote learning set-up in the education space.

"The more support we get from partners who have the technology and capabilities to connect people, the more opportunities we can provide to the Filipino youth. More importantly, finding partners who share in our values of community building encourages us to come up with more solutions and possibilities to influence positive changes, one student at a time," added Reyes.

Free Access to Education to Uplift the Filipino Youth
