Every day, customers and businesses entrust digital service providers with information that keeps their lives and operations running. Protecting data and information requires more than technology. It calls for strong governance, clear processes, and a commitment to continuously strengthening security.

Reinforcing that commitment, Globe has achieved ISO 27001:2022 certification, an internationally recognized standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). While Globe's previous ISO certification focused on its core data center operations, the new certification expands the scope to include the Provision of Corporate Governance and Implementation of Information Security alongside Core Data Center Management. This reflects Globe's continued evolution from securing critical infrastructure to strengthening information security governance across key areas of the organization.

More than a compliance milestone, the certification demonstrates Globe's commitment to accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement in protecting information. It also reinforces the company's readiness to meet evolving cybersecurity and regulatory requirements while strengthening information security practices across the organization.

For customers, this means greater confidence that their information is managed using globally recognized security practices, helping support safer and more secure digital experiences. Enterprise clients and business partners also gain added assurance that Globe maintains mature information security governance aligned with international standards, strengthening trust in digital collaborations and business relationships.

"The threat landscape changes every day, which means security can't be treated as a one-time project or compliance exercise," said Anton Bonifacio, Chief Intelligence and Trust Officer at Globe. "This certification recognizes the governance and operational discipline we've put in place, but the real work is never finished. We continuously strengthen our capabilities because protecting information must be built into the way we design, operate, and improve every digital service we provide."

"Achieving certification is an important milestone, but maintaining it together with continuous improvement is the bigger challenge," said Garrett Silao, Chief Information Security Officer at Globe. "Information security is something we have to practice every day. It requires continuous improvement, strong operational discipline, and collaboration across the organization to ensure we continue protecting the information entrusted to us."

The certification was awarded by the British Standards Institution (BSI) following a comprehensive assessment of Globe's information security controls, governance processes, and operational practices. It reflects a company-wide effort led by the Digital Policy and Governance Group and the Information Security and Data Privacy Group under Globe's Intelligence and Trust Office, in collaboration with the Information Services Group, Corporate Legal Services Group, Finance, Human Resources, and other teams that helped strengthen information security practices across the organization.

"ISO 27001:2022 is designed to help organizations build resilient information security management systems that evolve alongside today's changing risk landscape," said Ava Taniajura, Managing Director of BSI. "Globe's certification demonstrates its commitment to internationally recognized best practices and to continually improving the systems and governance that help protect information."

For Globe, maintaining ISO 27001:2022 certification is an ongoing commitment rather than a one-time achievement. As the digital landscape continues to evolve, the company will continue strengthening its governance, enhancing its security practices, and fostering a culture where protecting information remains a shared responsibility across the organization.
