Driving Green: Where to Find EV Charging Stations in the PH

April 17, 2026
Body Text

Driving an electric or hybrid vehicle is a sustainable way to navigate, offering a practical energy crisis solution amid fluctuating gas prices.

The local industry is also reaching a major milestone, with the Philippines preparing to assemble its first locally produced hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) in Laguna by around mid‑2028.

While this shift makes eco-friendly travel more future-proof, securing reliable power remains a challenge as vehicles powered by alternative energy sources enter the mainstream.

To help you navigate this growing network, we’ve compiled a list of EV charging stations in the Philippines to keep you powered up, whether you’re running errands or heading out of town.

Charge Your Car While You Recharge in the Mall

Some of the biggest malls in Manila have charging stations you can use during store hours. They typically have Type 2 and GB/T connectors, but you can bring adaptors.

The best part? You can have fun while you wait. Shop, dine, watch a movie, or hang out in a cafe. It's the perfect chance to grab “Me Time.”

Ayala Corporation, through its sustainable energy arm and Department of Energy (DOE)-accredited Electric Vehicle Charging Station (ECVS) provider AC Mobility, offers over 90 EV charging stations across its malls and urban hubs like Nuvali and Vertis North. Top up your car battery while you shop or work.

Get Power on the Go at Gas Stations

Some gas station chains offer charging stations as part of their clean energy and sustainability campaigns. Just pull up to a designated spot and plug in. You can grab a quick coffee at their convenience store while your car juices up.

  • Unioil: The EDSA Guadalupe station has a DC fast charger often supporting CHAdeMO and CCS2 protocols, while the Congressional Avenue and Pasong Tamo stations primarily offer Level 2 AC charging. It also plans to open an EV station in Subic Rizal Highway, SBMA.
  • Shell Philippines: Find Shell Recharge at select Robinsons Malls, Estancia, and Greenhills, with ultra-rapid stations at SLEX Mamplasan and TPLEX Rosario. Powered largely by clean, renewable energy, locations and pricing are available via the EVRO app. Only CCS2/Type 2 vehicles are supported; adapters are prohibited.

Enjoy Government-Sponsored Charging Stations

Free public charging points, set up through the collaboration of V-Green Global Charging Station Development Corporation (V-Green), Meralco, and Mitsubishi, are helping accelerate the transition, directly supporting the government’s vision that includes local hybrid production.

These initiatives, along with Mitsubishi’s upcoming local HEV manufacturing, are building a complete ecosystem: more vehicles made in the Philippines, paired with reliable places to charge them.

Pro Tip: Access the official DOE EVCS Locator to see a nationwide map of registered stations and the full list of Accredited Providers. Readily access them at the comfort of your living room with zero interruption through your high-speed home internet.

Stay Charged and Connected on the Road

Drive toward a greener future with Manila’s expanding charging network and the latest hybrid EVs. To ensure every trip is seamless, pair your vehicle with reliable mobile data to navigate traffic and locate charging stations via Google Maps or Waze without a hitch.

It’s now easier to achieve this through a postpaid plan that offers total convenience with high data allocations and a seamless monthly bill, eliminating the hassle of constant recharging. Alternatively, a prepaid promo provides seamless connection with maximum flexibility and no long-term commitment, perfect for those who prefer to top up as they go.

Eliminate range anxiety and focus on the road ahead with a stable connection, whether you’re in city gridlock or on a weekend getaway with your electric-powered vehicle.
