Why is there a convenience fee?

Due to the rising costs of payment processing, your preferred bank/credit card/payment center now charges a minimal fee for the bill payment services and load or promo transactions (in the GCash app) that they provide. 

Which payment partners will charge a convenience fee and how much?

All of our partners will be charging a convenience fee. Our first batch of partners will be:

What transactions are exempted from the convenience fee?

Non-bill or the following prepaid transactions are exempted from the convenience fee:

  • Globe Fiber Prepaid one-time fee P1,499
  • Globe Fiber Prepaid repair fee P500
  • In-store or online merchandise purchase
  • Prepaid kit or Home Prepaid WiFi purchase
Who will be charged a convenience fee?

All customers who pay their monthly postpaid bills and buy load or promo (in the GCash app) through our first batch of partners will be subject to a convenience fee. 

Are payments via your GlobeOne app free?
 

Yes, currently payments via our GlobeOne app across all payment methods are still free but this will soon be subject to a convenience fee.
