eSIM FAQs - What’s an eSIM?
An eSIM is a digital SIM that’s embedded can’t be removed from certain mobile phones, and allows you to activate a mobile phone plan from your network operator without the use of a physical nano SIM. Devices that support an eSIM already have the SIM embedded into the device. This SIM is ready to be activated by Globe based on the configuration of the mobile device. Depending on what the device can support, users may add multiple profiles or mobile numbers, which can be used one to two at a time. In 2018, Globe was the first to make the eSIM available in the Philippines. Here are the benefits of using an eSIM: An eSIM can be transferred to another device following these steps: - Uninstall it from your current device
- Scan the QR code that Globe previously sent to your email on your new device.
- How’s it different from a physical nano SIM?
- A physical nano SIM is removable and can be held, while an eSIM is embedded within the device.
- The eSIM is ready to be activated by the network carrier based on the device’s configuration.
- Users may add multiple profiles or mobile numbers which can be used up to two at a time, depending on the device.
- Can I get an eSIM if I’m a Globe Prepaid/TM customer?

- Where can I get an eSIM?
Before getting an eSIM, be sure to confirm that your phone supports an eSIM. You may check by going to your device’s settings and look for Mobile Network or Cellular Options. If your device supports eSIM, there should be an option for Add eSIM, SIM Manager, or something similar For new customers: - You may choose to get an eSIM upon application for a new postpaid plan in the New Globe Online Shop.
- During plan application, choose “eSIM” when asked to pick your preferred type of SIM.
- Once your application is approved, the eSIM will be sent to your email via a digital QR code.
For plan renewal customers:
- You can opt for an eSIM when renewing in the New Globe Online Shop.
- During plan renewal, choose “eSIM” when asked to pick your preferred type of SIM.
- Once your renewal is approved and your device is delivered, visit the GlobeOne app.
- From the GlobeOne app dashboard, click More then Help which will redirect to Globe’s Messenger account.
- From the menu in Messenger, select Get Started with Globe and choose Activate SIM, then select Plan Renewal.
- Enter your mobile number.
- Enter the last 4 digits of your old SIM.
- Enter ESIM.
- A reference number for your request will be sent and a Globe Care Specialist will reach out to you within 48 hours to help you activate your eSIM.
For existing customers: - You may also upgrade their physical SIM to an eSIM through the GlobeOne app following these steps:
- Open SIM Services in the GlobeOne app.
- Select Change SIM.
- Choose Physical SIM to eSIM to start the process.
- Verify your eligibility for the eSIM upgrade.
- Enter the OTP sent to your mobile number.
- Provide your email address to receive activation instructions.
- Submit your request, and wait for the activation instructions via email.
In Globe stores: Globe Postpaid customers can upgrade to an eSIM at any Globe store, where frontliners will assist you through the GlobeOne app upgrade process. Our store teams are fully equipped to guide you through the eSIM upgrade directly - How do I activate the eSIM on my eSIM-capable phone?
You may activate your eSIM following these steps: For iPhone: - Open the device and connect to the internet.
- Go to Settings > Click “Cellular”.
- Click “Set Up Cellular” or “Add eSIM”.
- Go to QR Code scanner.
- Scan the eSIM digital QR code.
- Click “Add Cellular Plan”.
- Disregard the pop-up message and click “OK”.
- The eSIM will be displayed with your mobile number. Your device is now ready for use.
For Android: - Open the device and connect to the internet.
- Go to Settings > Click “Connections”.
- Click “SIM Card Manager”.
- Click “Add Mobile Plan” > Click “Scan Carrier QR Code”
- Scan the eSIM digital QR code.
- Click “Confirm”.
- The eSIM will be displayed with your mobile number. Your device is now ready for use.
If you experience difficulties activating your eSIM, you may file a request for assistance via the Help icon in GlobeOne or visit the nearest Globe store. - Can my eSIM support multiple profiles or mobile numbers? If yes, how many?
eSIM-capable devices allow between 7-10 profiles. You may use one to two profiles at a time, depending on the device. - I want to switch back to a physical SIM. Can I still keep my number?
Yes, you can. Please visit your nearest Globe store for further assistance and pay P99 for the transaction fee. - Can I activate this eSIM with other local operators/networks?
If you got your new iPhone through Globe, the physical nano SIM and the eSIM will work exclusively with Globe and won’t be activated with other telcos. If your device has been unlocked, you may get in touch with your chosen operator to inquire about its availability and mechanics. - I lost my eSIM voucher/digital QR before scanning it, what should I do?
You may request a new eSIM code via the GlobeOne app or you may go to the nearest Globe store to request a new code free of charge. If you’re unable to get an eSIM voucher right away, just ensure that your line is temporarily disconnected to prevent any unauthorized usage. - How come my eSIM doesn’t work or is not activated?
Once your eSIM is activated, ensure that your cellular data settings are adjusted to choose Globe eSIM and turn on your mobile data. For iPhone/iPad users: - Go to Settings
- Tap Cellular (or Network)
- Under SIMs or Cellular Plans, ensure that Globe eSIM has been turned on
- Under Cellular Data, ensure that Globe eSIM has been selected. To avoid roaming charges from your primary carrier, ensure that Allow Cellular Data Switching is turned OFF

OneNumber FAQs - How do I activate OneNumber in my Apple Watch?
OneNumber is an add-on service that will allow you to share your mobile phone number with your watch. Aside from the usual bluetooth connection to the primary mobile device, the Apple Watch LTE can be connected to the network via LTE eSIM technology, and as such, can make transactions with the network directly (make and receive calls, make and receive text, and use/access data-dependent content and services even when not in proximity with your mobile phone (or primary device). OneNumber is best experienced by pairing only one Apple Watch with your iPhone. OneNumber add-on costs P199.00 per month and comes with 1GB data allocation on top of your existing data plan. These are the requirements for pairing your Apple Watch to your iPhone: - Must be using iPhone 6s or later running iOS 15.2 or later
- Must be using the Apple Watch (GPS+Cellular) Series 3 and later and Apple Watch SE running watch OS 8.3 or later
- Active Globe SIM card (Physical SIM or eSIM) is connected to your iPhone
- The iPhone must be connected to the Globe network and Bluetooth must be turned on.
- The iPhone is connected to the internet (WiFi or data)
To activate OneNumber, follow these steps:
Make sure your iPhone is connected to the Globe network, Bluetooth must be turned on and connected to the internet (WiFi or data). Step 1: Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone Step 2: Pair your Apple Watch to your iPhone Step 3: When prompted during setup, confirm your Globe OneNumber subscription Step 4: If successful, a confirmation screen will appear advising that your OneNumber is activated. Step 5: Done! You have successfully activated OneNumber. You can now receive and send calls / messages on your Apple Watch using the same number of your phone. Your Apple Watch can connect to your iPhone when itʼs near a Wi-Fi network or via cellular. When your watch connects to cellular, it uses LTE networks. The cellular button on your watch turns green when you have a connection. The green dots show the signal strength. These Apple devices can support the OneNumber add-on: - Mobile phones: iPhone 6s or later running the latest iOS version.

If you change your postpaid number to a new postpaid number and want to continue using number sharing, contact Globe to opt out to OneNumber then remove the carrier plan on your device. Then perform “Set up cellular” to subscribe to the OneNumber add-on service.
