Advanced Booking of Roaming Promos FAQ

How does advance booking of roaming promos work?

Globe now allows you to book the data roaming promos for your trip in 4 days up to a year in advance. All you need to do is to access the GlobeOne app, select your country of destination, the specific promo available in that country, and the desired promo activation date.

Upon arrival abroad on your scheduled promo activation date, turn on your mobile data and data roaming to start surfing.

Take note that promo activation is based on Philippine Time (PHT). As an example, if you select January 1, 2024 and you arrive in Sydney, Australia on January 1, 2024, at midnight, your advance-booked promo will only activate after 2 hours because of the time zone difference.

When and how will I be charged for the roaming promo that I booked in advance?

For prepaid customers: The advance-booked promo fee will be automatically deducted from your load allowance after clicking the Book Now button in the GlobeOne app.

For postpaid customers: You will only be charged once you've activated the promo abroad. Once activated, the roaming promo you booked in advance will be charged on top of your monthly bill.

How do I activate the roaming promo that I booked in advance?

To activate your advance-booked roaming promo, you should do it within 48 hours (PHT) of your scheduled trip. Or, starting at midnight Philippine time (PHT) on the date of your trip.

Your activation date should be based on Philippine Time (PHT). Upon arrival abroad, turn on your mobile data and data roaming to start surfing. Do NOT turn your mobile data and data roaming ON prematurely to avoid auto-activating Roam Surf 399 or 499 (In countries such as Hong Kong, Singapore, and the UK).

To enjoy seamless browsing, ensure that your mobile APN is set to internet.globe.com.ph. To set, just go to Settings > Mobile Networks or Cellular Data Network, then manually type in the right APN.

Can I cancel or edit on my own the roaming promo that I booked in advance?

If you already know that your scheduled trip will not push through, you have the option to cancel your advance-booked roaming promo in the "My Promos Booked in Advance" section of the GlobeOne app. Once cancelled, you'll receive a text from Globe confirming that the request to cancel your advanced booking has been processed.

Please note that refunds are only for the roaming promos booked in advance that haven't been activated yet.

Editing the scheduled trip on the GlobeOne app is not available for now.

Where can I use the roaming promo that I booked in advance?

The Roam Surf promo that you booked in advance can be used in any Roam Surf partner countries. For the complete list of countries where you can use Roam Surf offers, go to our Globe Postpaid Roaming website.

Make sure you're latched on to the roaming partner to enjoy the advance-booked promo. The promo will work even in cross-country trips, as long as you're in a country with a Roam Surf partner and you're still within the validity period.

GoRoam promos, on the other hand, can only be activated in a specific country and cannot be used for cross-country trips.

What roaming promos can I book in advance? And can I advance-book roaming promos via the GCash app?

All data roaming promos can be pre-booked in advance except for Postpaid Roam Surf 399, Roam Surf 499, Easy Roam 149 and Roam Surf4All.

You can only book roaming promos in advance via the GlobeOne app.

What should I do with the roaming promo that I booked in advance if I arrive abroad earlier than my scheduled trip?

Your pre-booked promo will follow the scheduled trip date. If you arrive earlier, and your mobile data and data roaming are on:

Postpaid: Roam Surf 399 will automatically activate; your advance-booked promo will only activate once the ongoing offer expires.

Prepaid: Without an active promo, you will not be able to do data browsing.

What should I do with the roaming promo that I booked in advance if my trip gets moved or cancelled?

No need to worry! We got you covered should your trip plans change:

If there are unexpected delays, you can still activate your advance-booked promo within 48 hours from the scheduled trip or promo activation date. For example, if your scheduled trip date is December 1, 2024, you have until December 3, 11:59 p.m. to activate your advance-booked promo abroad.

Where can I check the remaining data of the roaming promo that I booked in advance?

You may check your data usage through the GlobeOne app or by texting ROAM DATA BAL to 8080 for free
