Frequently Asked Questions on GoRoam
GoRoam is Globe's country-specific, affordable data roaming service that lets you stay connected abroad without paying daily roaming rates. Instead, you get a fixed data allocation for a one-time fee, valid for 7, 15, or 30 days, depending on your destination.
GoRoam is available to Globe Postpaid, Globe Prepaid, and TM customers.
Starting March 2026, eligible GoRoam offers support data stacking in China, Indonesia, Taiwan, Vietnam, Macau, Spain, India, Turkey, and the Maldives, with more destinations to follow.
You can register from a day to 175 days before your trip in the GlobeOne app. You can also register when you arrive in your destination country.
You can register through these channels:
GlobeOne – for all customers
GCash – for Globe Prepaid and TM only
You can use GoRoam in these countries:
Asia-Pacific: Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Macao, Malaysia, Maldives, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Middle East: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Europe: France, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, and the United Kingdom (UK).
North America: Canada and the United States of America (USA).
No. GoRoam is country-specific. It works only when your phone connects to Globe’s partner network in the destination in your promo.
If you travel to another country, you must register for a different roaming promo or a GoRoam offer for that location (if available).
Effective August 5, 2026, eligible GoRoam promos also support round-trip data in selected destinations, and more countries will be available soon.
Round-trip data is a GoRoam feature available on eligible promos purchased through GlobeOne. It lets you use any unused GoRoam data as local data in the Philippines, as long as your promo remains valid.
You can register from a day to 175 days before your trip in the GlobeOne app. You can also register when you arrive in your destination country.
You can register for GoRoam with Round-trip Data only through GlobeOne.
Yes! GoRoam offers are available to Globe Postpaid, Globe Prepaid, and TM roaming customers, exclusively through GlobeOne.
GoRoam packs are data-only roaming offers and do not include calls or text messages. Standard roaming charges apply if you make regular cellular calls or send text messages while abroad.
GoRoam offers local-like data rates without the usual travel hassles. There's no need to buy a local SIM, visit a store, wait in line, swap SIM cards, or register your passport with a foreign telco. You also get to keep your Globe or TM mobile number active for important bank OTPs and emergency text messages.
With the round-trip data feature, any unused GoRoam data can be used as local data in the Philippines, as long as your promo remains valid.
No. GoRoam data cannot be used in the Philippines before your trip. To activate your GoRoam data, you must first connect to a partner network abroad. Once you return to the Philippines, any unused GoRoam data can be used as local data, provided your promo is still valid.
You can conveniently track your remaining round-trip data through the GlobeOne app. Go to the roaming tab on your account dashboard to view your remaining balance.
Your remaining round-trip data will be used based on your active local data promos while you're in the Philippines. If you plan to travel to the same destination again within your promo's validity period, we recommend availing of our other roaming offers designed for use abroad, such as All-New RoamSURF Global Packs with up to 1-year validity or RoamSURF4ALL, our shareable roaming offer.
Prepaid customers who prefer a GoRoam offer without the round-trip data feature can purchase GoRoam through GCash.
This happens because you have an active 5G, app-specific, or Surf4All promo. Your local data usage will begin deducting from your remaining GoRoam Round-trip Data once these active promos have been fully used up, as long as your GoRoam promo remains valid.
Your GoRoam experience depends on the type of roaming promo you register for:
GoRoam + RoamSURF: Your GoRoam data will always be used first. If you leave a GoRoam destination, your active RoamSURF promo will automatically take over.
Two GoRoam promos for the same destination purchased via GlobeOne: If you're still in the same GoRoam destination, the data from your second promo will be combined with your first, and both will follow the longer promo validity.
GoRoam via GlobeOne + GoRoam via GCash (Prepaid): The round-trip data feature is exclusive to GoRoam promos purchased through GlobeOne. If you purchase another GoRoam promo through GCash, it will not combine with your GlobeOne GoRoam promo and will not include the round-trip data feature. While abroad, your data usage will first be deducted from the GoRoam promo from GCash before the GlobeOne GoRoam promo.
To stay connected, you can register for another GoRoam or RoamSURF Global Pack through GlobeOne before your current promo expires. You'll receive a notification when your promo expires, or your data allowance is fully consumed.
For Globe Postpaid: If mobile data and data roaming remain turned on, Globe's all-day data roaming service (RoamSURF at ₱399 or ₱499/day, depending on your destination) will automatically take over to keep you connected.
For Globe Prepaid: Data roaming services will stop once your promo expires or your data allocation is fully consumed. To continue using data abroad, register for another roaming promo.
