What is the Traveler SIM?

The Traveler SIM is a local Philippine SIM powered by Globe Telecom, Inc. It is for tourists who are visiting the Philippines for vacation or business.

Where can I avail of the Traveler SIM?

We're currently selling Traveler SIMs at the arrival areas of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminals 1, 3, and 4 in Manila, Clark International Airport (Clark) , Francisco Bangoy International Airport (Davao), Mactan International Airport (Cebu), Kalibo International Airport, Iloilo International Airport, Caticlan Jetty Port and Laoag International Airport. When arriving or traveling to other Philippine cities, Globe Prepaid SIMs are available at retail partners nationwide.

What is the size of the SIM card? Will it fit my smartphone unit?

The Traveler SIM is available in tri-cut form (standard, micro, and nano sizes).

What is the difference between Traveler SIM and the regular SIM offers?

Currently, the Traveler SIM offers are also the same as our regular Globe Prepaid SIM offers. Don't worry, we will keep you posted on new offers for the Traveler SIM soon.

Is the SIM pre-loaded already?

This is not pre-loaded but it contains FREE 35 SMS to all networks. There's also no need to have this activated. You can use your SIM immediately.

Where can I buy load?

You can buy load at NAIA terminals, along with over 800,000 retailers nationwide.

How much does load cost?

We currently sell load in PHP100, PHP300, and PHP500 denominations.

Is this the minimum load amount? Can I load below P100?

In Manila, Clark, Davao, and Kalibo Airport terminals, the minimum load amount is PHP100 since AutoLoad Max services are not present.

How do I check my load balance?

There are two ways to check your load balance:

a. Text BAL to 222 (FREE of charge)

b. Dial 222 and press call (P1 per message sent)

Do I need to follow a certain prefix for calls or text? Or is it the same procedure when using a regular SIM?

To make a call or send a text message using your Traveler SIM, simply dial + <country code ><area code><number>.

What is the internet speed on the Traveler SIM?

Our Traveler SIMs are now equipped with 4G LTE speed which can reach up to 42Mbps.

Can I use my Traveler SIM in other countries (besides the Philippines) or for roaming?

Yep! Your Traveler SIM can be pre-activated for roaming services. Simply type GROAM ON and send to 8888. Activation should be done at least 24 hours before departure. You'll receive confirmation thru text once your International Roaming is activated. You can get more information on Prepaid roaming here

For how long will the SIM card be valid?

The Traveler SIM is valid for three months. If it is not reloaded or used after this time, the SIM will expire. For lost or defective SIM, this can be replaced with the same number at any Globe Stores nationwide. However, once the SIM is expired, the same number cannot be retrieved anymore.s nationwide.
