Frequently Asked Questions on Gadget Xchange

Gadget Xchange is Globe’s mobile phone  protection program for Postpaid customers. It lets you switch or replace your device—no questions asked! No need for documentation like police reports or affidavits of loss when filing a claim.

 

Available services:

  • Device switch: Replace your device with another model.

  • Device replacement: Get the same model or equivalent if available.

  • Screen replacement: Fix damaged screens easily.

 

Who can avail?

  • New Globe Postpaid and Platinum customers.

  • Customers eligible for plan renewal.

 

Where to avail?

  • All Globe stores nationwide.

  • Globe Online Store.

     

Fees:

  • Monthly fees depend on your device price range.

  • Fees (paid to Bolttech per claim) must be settled before processing.

Note: Gadget Xchange is not insurance, so you get fast, hassle-free replacements without lengthy paperwork.

 

Wearables, tablets, and bikes are not covered by Gadget Xchange.

Gadget Xchange covers only one mobile phone per Globe Postpaid account. If you avail of a bundle, only the primary device is covered. Additionally, Gadget Xchange does not cover wearables, tablets, and bikes. 

Coverage lasts up to 24 months. After this period, the subscription automatically ends, and you’ll no longer be charged.

Visit this link to apply for claims. Payments for service fees will also be processed here, securely managed by Bolttech.

Cancel anytime using these options:

  • GlobeOne: Click your account details, go to Your plan usage section, select Lifestyle. Choose your Gadget Xchange subscription and click Cancel add-on. Confirm by tapping Yes, and it will be removed in a few minutes.
  • Text: Send GEX (monthly fee) 24 OFF to 8080.
  • Globe Store: Visit your nearest branch.
 

Important:

  • Monthly fees won’t be prorated (no refunds).
  • Claims cannot be filed starting the next billing cycle.
  • Re-enrollment is not allowed after cancellation.

No. Once canceled, reapplication with the same account or mobile phone is not allowed.

Replacements are refurbished or good-as-new devices with a 12-month warranty provided by Bolttech. Quality is guaranteed!

You can pay for your fees using these methods:

  • Monthly fee: Charge to bill
  • Service fee: Credit cards, bank transfer, GCash. Service fees are paid to Bolttech, our program partner upon filing a claim

Currently, Gadget Xchange is only for new customers and those eligible for plan renewals. Stay tuned for updates as we expand the service to more customers soon.

From September 18, 2024, to March 31, 2026, new and renewing customers who get a new mobile phone with these plans will receive a free 1-month Gadget Xchange subscription: 

  • GPlan 599-2499
  • All-new GPlan PLUS 599-2499 with discounted devices
  • All-New Platinum GPlan 3799
  • All-New Platinum GPlan PLUS 3799
 

After the free month ends, Gadget Xchange will become a paid add-on by the 31st day. The fee will be added to your bill, depending on the price of the mobile phone you availed. 

You can cancel the free 1-month offer anytime via GlobeOne, by texting GX <amount> OFF to 8080 (Example: GX 199 OFF) or through a Globe store. 

If you cancel, you can’t re-enroll and make any claims, even if the free month hasn’t ended.
