Spending Limit

What is Spending Limit?

Spending limit is a feature that helps you take better control of your postpaid spending. It’s the maximum amount that you can spend for extra services or products on top of your monthly plan so you can stay within or near your ideal plan budget.

Spending limit, in effect, is the allowance that covers your unbilled usage.

Once the spending limit is exceeded, your outgoing services such as calls, texts and mobile data are temporarily turned off to help you avoid additional charges.  If you have existing unli or bulk offers, you may still use them. Your spending limit is refreshed at the start of new billing cycle.

If you don’t remember the spending limit that was assigned to your account upon application, you may check it inside the dashboard section via the GlobeOne app.

What are the benefits of Spending Limit?

Keep track of your usage

You'll receive regular text notifications upon reaching certain usage levels to help you keep track of your spending.

Control over your monthly budget

The auto-turn off feature temporarily disables your outgoing calls, texts and mobile internet when you reach your Spending Limit, so you can stay within your budget. Don't worry, you'll still receive incoming calls and texts, existing unli and any remaining allocation from bulk offers.

For roaming and content charges, expect that these charges will reflect at a later time, disabling of outgoing services will be delayed, and you may have higher bill charges more than the set spending limit amount.

Easy reconnection

To restore your outgoing services, you simply need to pay all or 100% of your unbilled usage plus any remaining balance from your previous bill.  You can then request for reconnection through our customer care hotline at (02) 7730-1000 or reach out to us at m.me/globeph via FB Messenger.

Does the spending limit guarantee that I won't go over my Postpaid budget?

Let it serve as your guide so you know how much you'll be paying in excess of your monthly plan. The moment you use up a portion of your spending limit, that already means you’ve incurred extra usage.

For roaming and content charges, expect that these charges will reflect at a later time, disabling of outgoing services will be delayed, and you may have higher bill charges more than the set spending limit amount.

How can I keep track of my usage?

To help you monitor your expenses, you'll receive our automated text reminders.

You may also track your usage inside the dashboard section of the GlobeOne app.

For roaming, direct carrier billing charges and other content related, expect that these usages will reflect at a later time in the dashboard.

Is there a required spending limit amount?

To ensure that you have some room to spend for extra services or products outside of those included in the plan you signed up for, we've set the minimum spending limit at P201 or  based on your availed plan’s monthly recurring fee (MRF), it can be at a minimum of MRF + Php1. Example: MRF 599 +1 = 600 spending limit.

The spending limit assigned to your account could be higher. You may check it inside the dashboard section via the GlobeOne app.

What happens if I exceed my spending limit?

To help you stay within your budget, your outgoing calls, texts and mobile internet are temporarily disabled when you reach your spending limit. Don't worry, you'll still receive incoming calls and texts.

For roaming, direct carrier billing and other content charges, expect that these charges will reflect at a later time, temporary disablement of services will be delayed and you may incur bill charges more than the set spending limit amount.

The spending limit is refreshed at the start of a new bill cycle.

How do I reactivate my outgoing services?

Simply pay your full (or 100%) unbilled usage plus any remaining balance from your previous bill. With your payment details on hand, you can request for reconnection through our customer care hotline at (02) 7730-1000 or or reach out to us at m.me/globeph via FB Messenger.

Why do I need to suspend my Spending Limit if you already gave a 30-day payment due date extension?

The 30-day payment due date extension ensures that you won't be temporarily disconnected due to non-payment.

If your account has an assigned spending limit and you exceed this, your outgoing services will be disabled. If you registered to unli or bulk offers such as unliallnet texts or 100 minutes of calls, you may still use those services even after exceeding your limit.

How can I suspend my Spending Limit and how long will it take you to process my request?

To help you with your connectivity needs at this time, you'll be sent a text message with instructions on how to suspend your spending limit. Upon receipt of your reply, we'll process this within 5 days at the most. We'll let you know via text when it's already in place.

What will happen if I don’t suspend my Spending Limit? Will it resume automatically if I suspend it?

With the increased need for mobile services at this time, there's a chance you might exceed your spending limit if you don't suspend it. Once the spending limit is exceeded, your outgoing services such as calls, texts and mobile data are temporarily disabled to help you avoid incurring additional charges. If you have existing unli or bulk offers, you may still use them.

We’ll schedule your spending limit to be resumed on your nearest cut-off date. The exact date will be indicated in the text that we sent.

Can I resume my spending limit earlier than scheduled?

Yes, you may. You may reach out to us at m.me/globeph via FB Messenger.
