Frequently Asked Questions on Spending Limit
The Spending Limit is a feature that helps you manage your postpaid spending more effectively. It’s the maximum amount you can spend on extra services or products beyond your monthly plan, allowing you to stay close to your budget.
This acts as an allowance for your unbilled usage. If you exceed this limit, your outgoing services—such as calls, texts, and mobile data—will be temporarily turned off to help prevent additional charges.
Don’t worry; if you have any existing unlimited or bulk offers, you can still use them. Your Spending Limit resets at the beginning of each new billing cycle.
If you're unsure of the Spending Limit assigned to your account, you can check it in the dashboard section of the GlobeOne app
Here are some ways Spending Limit can help you:
Keep Track of Your Usage
You'll receive regular text notifications when you reach certain usage levels, helping you monitor your spending.
Control Over Your Monthly Budget
The auto-turn-off feature temporarily disables outgoing calls, texts, and mobile internet when you hit your Spending Limit. This keeps you within your budget while still allowing incoming calls, texts, and any existing unlimited or bulk offers.
Keep in mind that roaming and content charges may appear later, which could delay the disabling of outgoing services. You might also incur charges higher than your set Spending Limit.
Easy Reconnection
To restore your outgoing services, simply pay 100% of your unbilled usage plus any remaining balance from your previous bill. You can request reconnection by calling our customer care hotline at (02) 7730-1000 or reaching out via FB Messenger at m.me/globeph.
Think of the Spending Limit as a helpful guide for understanding your excess charges relative to your monthly plan. Using any portion of your Spending Limit means you've incurred extra usage.
Remember that roaming and content charges may reflect later, which could delay the disabling of outgoing services, leading to bills higher than your set Spending Limit.
To help you monitor your expenses, you'll receive automated text reminders about your usage.
You can also track your usage in the dashboard section of the GlobeOne app.
For roaming, direct carrier billing, and other content-related charges, expect that these usages may reflect later in the dashboard
To give you extra room for spending on services outside of your plan, the minimum Spending Limit is set at P201, or based on your monthly recurring fee (MRF)—whichever is greater, starting at MRF + Php1. For example, if your MRF is 599, your Spending Limit would be 600.
Your assigned Spending Limit could be higher, and you can check it in the dashboard section of the GlobeOne app.
To help you stay within your budget, your outgoing calls, texts, and mobile data will be temporarily disabled if you reach your Spending Limit. Don't worry; you’ll still receive incoming calls and texts!
For roaming, direct carrier billing, and other content charges, remember that these may show up later, which could delay the disabling of services. You may incur charges higher than your Spending Limit as well.
