Device Trade-In - Globe Help & Support

Globe Device Trade-in Program

What is Globe Trade-In?

Globe Trade-in is a program that allows new and recontracting Globe Postpaid customers to trade-in their old device in exchange for a cashback that will be applied to their postpaid bill.

  • Trading in your old device will enable you to enjoy a cashback that essentially lowers your monthly payable to Globe Postpaid. Your cashback serves as an advance payment that gets deducted from your Globe Postpaid bill.
    • You need to continue paying your postpaid bill until your trade-in value cashback has been credited to your bill.
  • To enjoy your cashback, you have to have an active postpaid plan.

Globe Trade-in is currently available for customers residing in NCR, Cavite, Rizal, Pampanga, Davao and Cebu.

The trade-in value or cashback is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Customers are only allowed to trade in one device per mobile number.

You may visit https://glbe.co/GlobeTradeIn to check the list of acceptable devices.

Can I still apply for trade-in even if I don't have an active Postpaid plan?

Yes, you can still apply for trade-in even if you don't have an active postpaid plan but your trade-in value will be sent via GCash instead of bill cashback.

How can I trade in my old device?

You may trade in your device through these channels:

For online transactions:

  • Answer the questions in the portal pertaining to the condition of the trade-in device assessed. An estimated trade-in value will be provided depending on the device’s condition.
  • Provide the personal details needed. If you purchased a device from Globe that is eligible for an additional token, additional details will be required.
  • Once all the necessary information has been provided, submit the trade-in application.
  • A CompAsia customer representative will contact the customer within 3 working days to arrange the pick-up for the final device assessment.
  • CompAsia’s logistic team will visit the customer on the scheduled date and pick-up location to verify the device’s condition and provide the final trade-in value quotation which the customer can either accept or reject.
  • If the final quotation is accepted, the customer will receive an email about the completion of the transaction.
  • Upon completion of the trade-in transaction, the trade-in value together with the vendor top-up (if any) will be credited to the customer’s Globe postpaid bill as cashback/trade-in value within the next 2 bills.
  • Online trade-in is currently limited to customers residing in NCR, Cavite, Rizal, Pampanga, Davao and Cebu.

For store transactions:

  • Customers must visit a participating Globe store.
  • The trade-in brand ambassador will conduct an assessment of the trade-in value of the device via the Globe website.
  • Once the customer agrees with the trade-in value of the device and the transaction is completed, the device must be turned over to the brand ambassador.
  • A completion email will be sent to the customer.
  • Upon completion of the trade-in transaction, the trade-in value together with the vendor top-up (if any) will be credited to the customer’s Globe postpaid bill as cashback/trade-in value within the next 2 bills.

How much cashback will be credited to my bill and why does it take 2 bill cycles?

  • The cashback that will be credited to your bill will be equal to the final trade-in value assessed by the CompAsia rider.
  • It takes 2 months for the bill cashback to be credited since we need to process the payment from CompAsia and the top-up (if any) from the vendor.
    • A vendor top-up is an additional cashback that will be credited to your bill if you trade-in and trade up or avail of a device that is eligible for the promo. Vendor top-up is only a promotional offer and is subject to the terms and conditions of the vendor.

What’s the difference between estimated trade-in value and final trade-in value?

The estimated trade in value is the maximum trade-in amount of the device based on the answers of the customer to the device status questions in the portal.

The final trade-in value is the actual value of the device based on the assessment done by the Compasia rider.

Can I back out of the transaction if the final trade-in value assessed by the CompAsia rider is lower than the assessed trade-in value in the website?

Yes, you can opt not to proceed with the trade-in transaction.

How do I surrender the device that I intend to trade in?

  • For online transactions, the device shall be surrendered to the CompAsia rider.
  • For store transactions, the device shall be surrendered to the brand ambassador.

Where can I use my cashback/trade-in value?

The cashback or trade-in value will be treated as an advance payment that gets deducted from your Globe Postpaid bill.

You should monitor your cashback amount regularly to ensure that you don't miss a payment once the cashback has already been fully consumed. Regular bills collection will continue to apply once the trade-in value cashback has been fully consumed.

Where can I raise my concerns, if any, regarding Globe Trade-in?

All concerns raised to Globe shall be forwarded to CompAsia via email at [email protected]. CompAsia shall reach out to the customer within 24 hours or on the next working day from receipt of email from Globe.
