Frequently Asked Questions on Globe Device Trade-in Program

Globe Trade-In is a program that allows new and re-contracting Globe Postpaid customers to exchange their old devices for cashback, which is applied directly to their postpaid bill.

Here’s how you can benefit from the program:

  • Lower your monthly bill: The cashback serves as an advance payment, reducing your Globe Postpaid bill.
  • Active Postpaid plan required: To enjoy the cashback, you must have an active postpaid plan.
  • Eligibility: The program is available for customers in NCR, Cavite, Rizal, Pampanga, Davao, and Cebu.

Important Reminders:

  • The cashback is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Only one device can be traded in per mobile number.
  • For a list of acceptable devices, visit the Globe Trade-In Portal.

Yes, you can still trade in your device without an active Postpaid plan. In this case, the trade-in value will be sent to your GCash account instead of being applied as bill cashback.

You can trade in your device through two convenient channels:

For Online Transactions

  1. Visit the Globe Trade-In portal and answer the questions about your device’s condition to get an estimated trade-in value.
  2. Provide the required personal details. If eligible for additional tokens, you’ll need to submit more information.
  3. Submit your trade-in application.
  4. A CompAsia representative will contact you within 3 business days to schedule a pick-up for final assessment.
  5. CompAsia will verify the device’s condition during the pick-up and provide the final trade-in value, which you can accept or reject.
  6. If you accept the offer, you’ll receive a confirmation email, and the cashback will be credited to your postpaid bill within the next 2 billing cycles.

Note: Online trade-in is available for customers in NCR, Cavite, Rizal, Pampanga, Davao, and Cebu.

For Store Transactions

  1. Visit a participating Globe Store.
  2. The trade-in ambassador will assess your device and provide the trade-in value.
  3. Once you agree, the ambassador will process the transaction, and you’ll receive a confirmation email.
  4. The cashback will be credited to your postpaid bill within the next 2 billing cycles.

The cashback credited to your bill equals the final trade-in value assessed by the CompAsia rider.

It takes 2 billing cycles because:

  • The payment from CompAsia and any promotional vendor top-ups need to be processed.
  • A vendor top-up is an additional cashback credited if you trade in and upgrade to an eligible device under a promo.

  • Estimated Trade-In Value: This is the initial value based on your answers about the device’s condition in the portal.
  • Final Trade-In Value: This is the actual value determined by the CompAsia rider after assessing the device in person.

Yes, you can decline the trade-in transaction if the final trade-in value is lower than the initial estimate.

  • For Online Transactions: The device will be picked up by the CompAsia rider.
  • For Store Transactions: Surrender the device to the trade-in brand ambassador at the Globe Store.

The cashback will be treated as an advance payment applied to your Globe Postpaid bill.

  • Regular billing will resume once the cashback has been fully consumed.
  • Monitor your cashback usage to avoid missed payments when it runs out.

If you have any concerns, you can:

  • Email [email protected].
  • CompAsia will respond within 24 hours or the next business day after Globe forwards your concern.
